It sounds like something from “House of Cards”: Politician A enters into a secret alliance with Politician B — a loose-tongued rival from another party with the chutzpah, the cash and the power to play the spoiler — to ensure Politician A’s election.

Now, anyone living inside the Beltway can testify that Washington isn’t organized enough to work that way. But after GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump said he would deny Muslims entry to the United States — and, faced with the condemnation of Republicans in Congress, indicated he might be considering running as an independent, a move that could elect a Democrat — one of Trump’s rivals tweeted out the Grand Trump-Clinton Conspiracy Theory.

“Maybe Donald negotiated a deal with his buddy @HillaryClinton,” Jeb Bush tweeted. “Continuing this path will put her in the White House.”

It cudda happened. I also cudda created sustained cold fusion with jelly beans in my microwave, but I didn't. Jeb should prolly think about folding up his campaign tent and getting some sleep.
 
It is hard to understand how a politician would consider a conspiracy theory as an effective political tool.

I was wondering where this conspiracy theory came from.

Looks like it was all just sour grapes from the Jeb campaign.
 
Trump is indisputably a lib and it's well known that Bill urged him to run. Jeb is close to the truth of Trumps candidacy but it won't help him.
 
In jest, I proposed the very same conspiracy theory here at DP when the Donald first jumped in.

Man you are behind the times. Flex and stretch metallic Mylar is the way to go. A lot more comfortable and blocks a much wider spectrum of waves and radiation. Pssst, inside story, that is what Jeb is wearing also. They can be made to look like a hair piece also....

I hear the Copperfit is working on a design also...
 
The conspiracy/birther stuff Trump was spewing in 2012 didn't hurt Trump then, or now. Probably helped him with a portion of the GOP base.

My tinfoil is of the best quality and constructed in a secret way which is 100% effective against alien mind control..........attempts by government to read you mind.......and the free magnetic radiation from power lines.............Just because it is new and flashy does not mean they work effectively............Plus mine cost lets...........$2.69 per dozen..........you sure can't beat that deal...........plus free delivery

No, Bush is being sarcastic, because he's intelligent enough to know that a vote for Trump in the primary is pretty much a vote for Clinton in the general election. If Trump's your nominee, then we Dems will have the White House for eight more years, we'd get the Senate (though probably not the House), and we'd certainly get to choose the next few SCOTUS judges.

So...GO Trump GO! Woo-hoo!

Even without Trump, I am not sure Bush stood a snowballs chance in hell of becoming presidential nominee for his party. Clinton has a damaged image because of her past and the same goes for Bush, the good thing for Clinton is that without blundering Joe Biden in the running, there is no real opponent to defeat her. Even without Bush there were a dozen possible candidates who could have pulled a Trump on Bush and would have won the nomination. Even with a fortune of money thrown at this race for Bush, he still polls 5 or below and that is just pathetic.

This conspiracy nonsense is just a pathetic excuse.
 
Why the hell is Jeb still in the race ?
