The world reacts to Donald Trump's comments - CNN.com

CNN has an issue on "the world" reacting to Trump. So far, it consists of a Dutch and French minister. Right now, Geert Wilders in leading in all opinion polls in the Netherlands (no elections in sight though) and Marine Le Pen is doing quite well in France. Their opinions are hence barely representative of the people in the Netherlands or France. Further vapid celebrity JK Rowling's opinion is mentioned. That is the reaction of "the world" according to CNN.

This is about trans-nationalists vs nations.

The trans-nationalists who are based on certain ethnic ideologies want to dissolve nations and see their own ethnicities become ascendant. In their defense, they cite no principles but only squatter arguments (ie. "we're here, so you'd better start liking us")

No squatter argument can ever measure up to arguments based on principles.

So let's be clear, the current pack who are attacking nationalism aren't doing so because they want to replace the system of nations with the high-minded Federation from Star Trek - these are merely ethnically driven ideologies whose opposition to assimilation into nations is based on their own ethnic chauvinism.

Not true. I clicked on your link. One of the first examples is this:
British prime ministers don't usually comment on U.S. presidential candidates, but in a rare move David Cameron gave his view through a spokesman who said: "The Prime Minister completely disagrees with the comments made by Donald Trump which are divisive, unhelpful and quite simply wrong."

That was followed by a British mayor, Egypt's "top religious authority," various celebrities in addition to the one you mentioned, and so on.

Why did you assert that the article you linked to says something very different than what it in fact says?

David Cameron with an empty blanket statement, nutjob Boris Johnson, some irrelevant people and Piers Morgan (actually just another irrelevant person) of all people.

Still stupid. This doesn't represent "the world" responding to Trump.

Yes because a country denying a group of people based on religion is unprecedented!! It's a world OUTRAGE!! Why could you imagine any other country (I don't count NK cause they are a mess) denying a person entry based on RELIGION? That would be... actually quite common. Ask any Israeli how many countries won't let them in.

Thanks, CNN, but I don't really care what politicians in other countries have to say about it.

That only makes me think about voting for him. Western Europe looks more like Turkey every day.

Well, do it.

If your venture shows success, Turkey will be kids' play to what the US is gonna look like.

Come to think of it, such inane spout as quoted doesn't even deserve to be graced with response. I'm just too lazy to delete this answer.
