The number of people who think this way scares the hell out of me.. Doesn't help that we have people like Donald trump fueling this hatred.

This FB video from INSIDER is much, much better:

Your xistian religion is not the only religion in this country. I swear, so much f***ing hate.

We had a good bit of that down the road in Murfreesboro TN when local Muslims built a new mosque. It's why what Trump is doing is so dangerous - he's legitimizing that kind of ignorant bigotry.

It's not just trump..

It seems strange that the fringe left is so anxious to align itself with Islam when their values are so diametrically opposite. Islam will NOT change it's position on being violently anti-gay, anti-abortion, anti women's rights, etc., etc.

The OP's post professes concern over other's "hate" yet at the same time cannot refrain from insulting Christianity by using an "x" instead of the word "Christ."

Hypocrisy and hate everywhere, the vast majority coming from the fringe left that controls the Democrat party.

ohh, im sorry, was i not being sensitive to xistians feelings? Do you want me to be more PC so it doesnt hurt as much?

People say that liberals side with muslims. I say, no. xistians are the biggest threat to the US. They are the ones that hold partial power to instill xistian laws. Being an Athiest, I dont give a rats s**t about any religion. It's all silly nonsense. I will say this, extreme islam is still in the pre-stoneage unlike the xistian religion(s). So I do give props to the incremental progress that they have made. All religions are nothing but feel good fables, but my concern is for the US is those that are in power that want to instill religious flavor legislation.

ohh, and i like to point out the xistian/white-wing hypocrisy when it comes to "religious feedom"

Wow, look at the parallels there!!

There are many many Muslims who do not act violently against gays, abortionists, or women's rights. Many if fact support these things. The simple statement is that not all Muslims are terrorists, and that is true. That there are some that think is disturbing as it leads to the type of actions that call forth violence against others.

And X-mas or xstains is not "hateful" or trying to remove Christ. It's a common abbreviation.

Xmas is a common abbreviation of the word Christmas. It is sometimes pronounced /ˈɛksməs/, but Xmas, and variants such as Xtemass, originated as handwriting abbreviations for the typical pronunciation /ˈkrɪsməs/. The "-mas" part is from the Latin-derived Old English word for Mass,[1] while the "X" comes from the Greek letter Chi, which is the first letter of the Greek word Χριστός which comes into English as "Christ".[2]

There is a common belief that the word Xmas stems from a secular attempt to remove the religious tradition from Christmas[3] by taking the "Christ" out of "Christmas", but its use dates back to the 16th century.

So before you go off on full rant mode, try to understand what it is that you are ranting against.

so what do you think should be done about this vile xistian threat?

Ensure that freedom of religion is upheld to its full and that the laws of government are the laws of man, not the laws of gods.

The use of X in place of Christ is by no means inherently meant to insult, enflame, mock, etc Christians.

But it would you acknowledge that it's absolutely possible to use, and that some do use it, not simply for the sake of abbreviation but out of a disdain or issue with Christians or specifically for the purpose of irritating/angering/tweaking them?

Its wrong to simply assume someone is using "X" instead of "Christ" is being disrespectful/rude/antagonistic simply by the act of using it. But it's also wrong to act like the fact it can and has (more predominantly in the past) been used as an abbreviation means people should ignore all surrounding context and just assume the use of it is singular out of a desire for expediency through abbreviation.

exactly! but we know that's not going to happen.

Someone using it to mean disrespect is using it wrong. Who cares? There are a lot better ways to insult them if one wants. Christdumbs, for instance, right off the top of my head. Not that I would use that with intent, I just made it up as a better example than a valid and recognized abbreviation for Christ.

Xmas is certainly an abbreviation but "xstain" is not and is an insult

just look at the google results

Christmas 1.3 billion results
Christian 1.2 billion

xmas 121 million

xstain 222,000 results and most of them are about a cleaning product called stain-x

Absolute lie. There is no way any Muslim, other than in name only supports homosexuality, abortion or the West's concept of woman's rights. And FYI, Muslims revere Jesus too.

Hmm, OK then. I happened to know Muslims that did, but I guess you're the god of who is Muslim and who isn't. So end of story.

So...so Google decides what is an "insult" now, dictated through hit number? I'm not sure. X is the Greek letter Chi, it's the first letter in the name Christ. XMas is no different than Xstain. It's the same abbreviation. If you want to get upset about it, then you are free to do so.

the fact is you called "xstain" a common abbreviation when there is no evidence its even really used as an abbreviation at all. If you want to continue to make up lies to denigrate religion you are free to do so just dont be surprised when you get called out on it.

exactly! but we know that's not going to happen.

So then if you think that isn't going to happen, what do you feel needs to be done to combat this xistian theat?

So what you're suggesting is you see no reason why someone would value an insult that provides them with a level of plausible deniablity by doubling back and going "oh no, I only meant it as a compliment"

It's like calling someone Genuis repeatedly while the context of your words clearly show you think their dumb. Then, when called on the insult, being able to go "genius means smart, I wasn't insulting you. If I wanted to insult you I'd call you idiot". Or like some one saying Hussein continually when referring to Obama. Should, they COULD just call him nigger if they wanted to insult him, but instead they continually use his middle name as an insult because they have plausible deniability by going "no no no, I'm just using the name his parents gave him".

While YOU may not find value in insults that have a thin layer of plausible deniability, do you not admit there are absolutely people out there that prefer that method of attack?

XMas has been used since the 16th century. X replacing Christ is common and has been used often. Just because Google doesn't return many hits on Xstains doesn't mean that X has been used as an abbreviation for Christ.

Go ahead and "call out" on it, see ya in the 16th century combating all those people denigrating Christianity, lol.

I see that you are waiting with baited breath for a response that you wont get.

That's probably because the abbreviation in question is Xistian, not Xstain

Though on my tablet I can't see how many Google results that generates.

But if someone tries to mock a smart person by calling them "genius", is it an insult? Or a failed insult? It's not an insult if it's true, IMO. Why is there anything to care about the use of "xstain"? X has long been established to be Chi, and to be a recognized abbreviation of Christ. Using it in this context doesn't change it.

Like I said, far better ways to insert insults than using a valid and recognized abbreviation.

Ensure that freedom of religion is upheld to its full and that the laws of government are the laws of man, not the laws of gods.

That second part is odd. All you ensure by such a change is that you make the laws easier to change. This generally has not had the effect you might imagine throughout history.
