Nearly 1,000 Clinton emails had classified info | Fox News

The State Department’s latest release of Hillary Clinton documents brings the total number of Clinton emails known to contain classified material to nearly 1,000.

The department on Monday released its largest batch of emails yet, posting 7,800 pages of the former secretary of state’s communications.

The latest batch contains 328 emails deemed to have classified information. According to the State Department, that brings the total number with classified information to 999.

The emails in question were deemed classified before their release by the department – and the former secretary of state has said all along she never sent emails with material marked classified at the time.
Had any ordinary federal employee done this, they'd probably be making big rocks into little rocks at Fort Levenworth by now.

Yet another case where the right is making a mountain out of a mole hill. "Nearly 1,000" is grossly overstating the case. It was only 999. If it was 999.9, you might have a case.

Hillary is not an "ordinary federal employee"... she is aristocracy, both political in experience and supported by wealth.

It seems that this situation is being handled bass ackwards - what is being done about those that sent the classified information to a private e-mail address? HRC seems to be getting away with saying she (and her staff) did no wrong because someone (everyone?) else removed the (required?) classified markings and then effectively forced her to "make a mistake".

The rules (laws?) concerning handling of classified material surely prohibit sending that material, marked or unmarked, to a not known to be secure email server. Are we to believe that nobody ever noticed and questioned why HRC's email address was .com and not .gov?

The rules are the same, Obama signed an EO to that effect.

I've never heard anyone say that classified markings were removed. The argument has been there were no markings. That may be true because Hillary didn't mark her emails the way she was supposed to, nor used her SIPRnet account the way she was supposed to. If you understand how the system works, then you know she's full of ****.

I suppose it may just be me, but I find this vastly more important than mocking a disabled reporter or grain in a pyramid.
Enough has been discovered against hillary months ago to put her away for life.

Are you saying that nobody sent any classified data to HRC's .com email address? Much of the data in question was "born classified" and needed no markings. Every picture from a classified source is by definition classified unless otherwise marked. It should not take much digging to find someone (probably many folks) that will say that they were officially instructed to send classified data (without markings) to HRC via that .com email server.

I didn't say no classified data was sent there, I said I never heard of markings being removed.

Mostly because that is not what is being investigated. Starting at the source (the non-HRC "from" address of an email) of the classified data would soon reveal how it got on that server.

Still waiting for Hillary to go to prison...

Yeah, you think you're clever with those snarky remarks. We all know how it goes with high level officials. But plainly obvious and proven is your careless disregard for the violation of security policy, and the compromise of classified data. As long as Hillary survives politically, you could care less about our national security. This is what I find typical of the Left in their quest for political power. The ends justify the means.

I guess it would, but my concern is the highest official in the State Dept at the time, Hillary Clinton. Her excuses are lame at best, given the fact that she is the highest classifying authority for that dept and her ridiculous explanation of a lack of marking justifying her violation of security policy.

Calm down, I don't even like Hillary. Hey, snarky remarks that are true. :)

Whatever, I find this entire situation appalling. The investigation is showing just how serious the potential loss of classified data is, and from someone close the President. This is very serious, no matter the partisan perspective. And you joke about it.

Even the longest journey starts with but a single step. Most cartel, gang and other organized crime is unraveled systematically by getting those nearer the bottom to rat out those above them - rarely does the one at the top fall first or alone.

That is one of the aspects the FBI is investigating, the removal of classified markings of information sent to Hillary. Some of the info on some of the emails was generated on a classified system. Someone had to cut and paste onto a removable drive and then access that drive on a private computer to send it to Hillary. It would have been that person that removed the markings. That would apply to the emails with the satellite imaging info two of the emails since they came from another agency.

Another person that violated security, nevertheless you don't think that Hillary knew satellite images were classified? You think she never saw such images as a senator even? Frankly I think it should have raised red flags with her immediately, at which time she should have reported it to her security chief for a full investigation. Was such a report made and investigation conducted? Doubt it or Hillary would have produced it. She's a lying piece of **** no matter how you look at this.

So the tier status of the e-mails has been changed to classified and the argument is this change should be retroactively applied for the purpose of punishing Hillary Clinton?

The woman sat for 11 hours and smacked the "defeat Hillary agenda driven Darrel Isa witch hunt" about the head and body so much that it was comical and even republicans admitted that Isa led to nothing but a waste of money.

And now you beat the dead horse again?

Why?

And the whole was neatly buried like dog-doo by Hillary Clinton once already.
