The man widely known as the suspected mastermind of last Friday's Paris attacks that killed 129 people, who bragged that he could always stay one step ahead of Western intelligence, was killed in the police raid north of Paris Wednesday.

Officials also confirmed that his cousin was killed, when she apparently blew herself up.

Abdelhamid Abaaoud, 27, had been linked to as many as four thwarted attacks since this spring, including the plot to kill passengers on a Paris-bound high-speed train in August, a plot that three young Americans helped foil. He was identified from skin samples after the Saint-Denis apartment raid, the French prosecutor's office reported Thursday.

The French made a huge PR error killing this guy. They should have kept him alive, and put him to death the old fashion French way....

I highly doubt French authorities simply went in and executed the guy, I bet he was at least armed and probably wanting a fight.
 
ID still sounds sketchy to me, where did they get his DNA to compare the samples to?

According to CNN he had been arrested 4 years ago. Probably took DNA then.

You can look it up. I doubt you will find anything however. Nobody said anything about the Russian military.
 
So they killed the ringleader of the ISIS cell in Belgium Abdelhamid Abaaoud. Whoop tee doo. You do know the female that blew herself up later was his cousin injuring 5 law enforcement officers and killing a police dog. Hmmmm. And one of the suicide bombers that blew themselves up in front of a café was the brother of a guy by the name of Salah Abdeslam that was suppose to blow himself up too but chickened out.There is a manhunt out for him. Guess when you chicken out on a suicide mission you become a wanted man not just by the law but ISIS too.

This isn't the first time, second or third etc. where it is family members who all seem to be radicalized and do the deed. Brothers sisters, cousins.....Guess in an ISIS world those families who blow themselves up together stay together.

Well here's a thought, they caught the ring leader from Belgium. Who is the ring leader in England, Germany, United States or any other Western country where they have established cells?
