Woman in a suicide belt is killed by police and second jihadi is also killed....

Seems they rolled up a slew of them today, simply amazing how fast they out so may pieces together.

They found a cell phone at the attack site with information on it that led them to the apartment they raided this morning.

Do female suicide bombers get the same number of virgins in heaven as their male counterparts, or do they get 78% less?

Not sure if you are aware of this.Read today, arrested over 100, a large number of weapons and ammo was also found. All from info gleaned from 1 cell phone, I ain't buying that one.

168 Raids In France, and 104 People Under House Arrest - The New York Times

One hundred sixty-eight locations have been raided and 104 people have been placed under house arrest in the past 48 hours in France, the interior minister, Bernard Cazeneuve, said on Monday.

‘‘It’s just a start, these operations are going to continue, the response of the Republic will be huge, will be total,” he said. “The one who targets the Republic, the Republic will catch him.”

Don't know. I was referring to an address they lifted off of a cell phone which they conducted a particular predawn raid on.

I was referring to the substantial numbers arrested in days after the attack. Possibly missed warning signs and intel prior to the attack.

The conversation I listened to revealed the deep concerns the French have that such an attack was assembled and executed under the nose of the police without detection. As to the large number of raids, any info on how many of them resulted in arrests of actual jihadists, Islamic State fighters, etc. when something like this happens, there's such pressure for the government to "do something" that often there is a bit of over reaction.

True, but the French did state they did not have the security resources to monitor all known radicals.UK said much the same recently.
One report I had read today was approx 60 or so arrests and approx 36 weapons and ammo.
And yes, I am sure the pressure is intense to produce results. So some that were on the list, may have done nothing. We will know more in the coming weeks.

I heard about that in the UK also, that's really troubling. Hers what gets me. How much money has the UK and France spent with their continued military adventurism in the Middle East that the US national intelligence estimate stated has caused an increase in global terror and made the world less safe? Yet they don't have the resources to keep their citizenry safe when the chickens of those adventures come home to roost?

This is so true. The Tory government in Westminster is currently pushing through a plan to replace the UK's current nuclear arsenal with a new one that will cost around $250 billion/€238 billion. The UK currently spends around £1.8 billion ($2.7 billion) annually on its entire border security. Leave behind the delusion that it's important to remain a nuclear power (although not an independent one) and you could double border security spending for a century. Instead we hear stories such as that of would-be jihadi Simon Keeler (44) who:

was acquitted this July of planning to travel to Syria, after he was discovered by authorities in the back of a lorry in Dover.

How do you mess-up the prosecution of someone caught red-handed trying to smuggle themselves to the jihad, unless you don't have the resources to properly investigate a case and provide evidence that will stand up in court?

What this shows us is that defence and security spending priorities are driven by politics and business interests rather than the security requirements of the modern global security environment. No party donors will be made rich by doubling the staffing of the border agencies and police anti-terrorist investigations, but plenty of well-connected political donors will be made infinitely richer, and receive all those lovely 'Sir' this, 'Lord' that titles by ensuring that the UK spends hundreds of billions on weapons systems that no one will ever use and that it cannot afford.
