Germany-Netherlands soccer match called off after security alert

Great. So ISIS can send an angry letter about any event and we'll obey.
 
Looks like we are too early in the story to know exactly why, but it does appear that threats are high forcing the government to make these decisions.
 
England vs France match has started - what an atmosphere!

Great emotion at Wembley as both sets of supporters sang "La Marseillaise" and then France and England's teams mixed together for a team photograph - a gesture of unity that prompted huge applause around the stadium.

It was a very moving moment and the minute's silence was beautifully observed. And it has been clear from the moment Wembley's doors opened that the French following are very appreciative of the understanding, support and sympathy they have been afforded.

The France fans, perched high in a corner of Wembley, are waving the Tricolore but it is noticeable that many England fans around the stadium are also waving the blue, white and red.

Threat was real, they found a rigged car (ambulance?) parking next to the stadium.
Some nearby concert hall was also evacuated.

You want to truly piss off Europeans? Attack their football. Especially the Germans, who still have that dormant chromosome that could kick in any time.

There's more than a grain of truth in that; an attack on a capital can seem remote but a national sport being attacked is another matter for the ordinary man in the street.

Yep, and Germany had to evacuate TWO stadiums today. I'm thinking some folks are stewing.

The game on Friday night was stopped because of the bombs too.

I also think the Germans are not at practiced as we have been dealing with the IRA first and then muslim terrorists. I was surprised anyone with anything suspicious made it anywhere near either stadium.
