And our objective should be to take them seriously and act accordingly. The alternative, which you may prefer, is to ignore it and then bitch and moan about it after the fact.

So which is? It's a fabrication or we shouldn't ignore it? It can be uncomfortable sitting on the fence and twisting in the wind.

We shouldn't ignore it, and based on the source I don't take the claim at face value.

So you quibble with the numbers, is that it? You claimed it was simply ISIS spewing fear, nothing more. Should the Europeans and the West "kinda" "sorta" believe it and take corrective action or are the numbers so small, in your view, that we should just monitor it and maybe act after the next 150 innocent people are slaughtered on a Friday night in some European or world capital?

You seem to equate my skepticism of isis's claim a thoroughly nuanced position on how to effectively handle domestic and foreign terrorism.

The reason fish & chips caught on in Britain during WW2 was that flour ,fish and potatoes were some of the few foodstuffs not being rationed. Newspaper being the most freely available bulk wrapping for them at the time

Ironically after WW2 Britain was so broke they then did ration them much to the chagrin of the general public :(

I would expect the new terrorists to take a little time to get ready. But it is virtually unimaginable that isil and other terrorist movements have not sent in their people. They cannot be so stupid as to miss a chance like this.

The main German politicians are vehemently trying to deflect the idea from public interest. But it is not easy, when competing factions have such a persuasive bit of logic on their side.

I did. Isis's job and primary motivation is to scare us, and telling us that they've sent "thousands" of extremists into Europe accomplishes that goal. You're the one who who's been responding to crap I never said for the last five posts. It would save time and energy if you responded to the things people say than the things you imagine they say.

Given the Germans have taken some 800,000 to date it would seem highly likely that Berlin should be a candidate for the next such attack.

As ever there will be denouncements of the next outrage followed by a collective group hug to show the respective general public how much international support they have then rewind and repeat as necessary for subsequent attacks

Military intervention with extreme prejudice otherwise how long will it be before this group capture nerve agents like Sarin gas (known to exist in the region) and uses them somewhere in the West ?

Not necessarily there would be an attack in Germany. Germany does not withhold active military support for nothing. The idea is that if you leave the terrorists to others to fight, they will leave you alone. And it is well known that criminals are usually left alone in the country, if they do not do anything to rock the boat. Italy has been complaining for years that Mafia operatives will go to Germany to hide and consider it a safe haven.

Khadafi did a good job too. Seems somewhat naive, or derelict to take him out after creating a huge power vacuum in Iraq.

It's almost seems like Obama knew what he was doing the whole time.

Bush certainly didn't given the aftermath we are now being forced to suffer. He got his second term out of it by presenting the American voters with a nice big pile of dead Muslims post 9/11 (who cares if they weren't the right ones) so Iraq served US domestic political ends quite nicely :wink:
