'Jihadi John' targeted by U.S. airstrike in Syria

“British Prime Minister David Cameron described the airstrike that may have killed "Jihadi John" in Syria as an act of self-defense as he awaited confirmation that the jeering, sadistic ISIS mouthpiece is dead….

If the raid killed the man seen in numerous ISIS beheading videos, "it will be a strike at the heart" of ISIS, Cameron said…………..”

Confirmed: The monster who beheaded folks on video has been killed

“Jihadi John is 'evaporated' at ISIS' 'crucifixion' clock tower: US drone strike takes out British executioner at site of fanatics' worst crimes - but victims' families …………”

Yeah right, only several hundreds of thousands of Islamic terrorists more to go and we're good eh?

Again, as a reasonable person I'm very pleased with the chess like manner in which Obama is handling our response to ISIS. I suspect their recruiting is really suffering.

On the contrary; if the report is correct they now have another martyr and 50 lining-up to replace him. It is better to arrest criminals and bring them to trial rather than extrajudicial executions which I understand is the American way nowadays.

Not if it puts US lives at risk.. However I'm all for letting Spanish troops have a crack at it.

Arresting terrorists in the middle of their headquarters/hiding places means risking soldiers' lives which I'm sure you're all for, reasonable people who understand the situation however refer to such killings as targeted killings that are part of a war targeting enemy combatants, and not "extrajudicial killings".

Please stop trying to change the subject; Spain is not entangled in any foreign wars.

The rules of this forum do not permit me to give you the answer you deserve.

Yeah right, only several hundreds of thousands of Islamic terrorists more to go and we're good eh?

Have you ever considered the effectiveness of the use of force in eliminating an idea..........a religious belief straight out of the Koran.......with believers who welcome death as a reward...... by using force..........

The more you kill with bombs and bullets...........10 more rise up to take their place........

I know of no example from history of any state wiping from the face of the earth a religious idea/belief..........

Do you?

. Yup. 25% of Spanish workers are unemployed, the country can't afford an army let alone fight an enemy. You guys are meekly awaiting your fate while hoping the U.S. Will protect you.

PS you also have that latent basque separatist thing going on.

Actually I checked, and the rules do allow you to congratulate me on exposing your flawed, immoral argument.
They do not, on the other hand, allow me to give you the answer you truly deserve so you'll have to settle with the one I have given.

This topic is about the extrajudicial killing of a British subject by Americans in the Middle East, not Spain.

I'm not at all under the belief that humanity can make Islamic terrorism go away mate, I was merely referring to your claim that the world is now a better place with this terrorist gone explaining exactly what you said - that you can't get rid of them completely.

If the British don't mind us killing one of their citizens, then I don't have a problem with it.

Hardly. The story is about the killing of a terrorist by it-doesn't-matter-who in the it-doesn't-matter-where.

So what's the difference if they're lining up to replace him or they're lining up because of his recruitment efforts? They're lining up no matter what but at least this way they have to step over his rotting carcass in the process.

We're long past the point of "arresting people" as this enemy has made it quite clear that their goal is to kill every man, woman, and child who doesn't bow to their will.

You brought Spain (a failed country), into the conversation so it's now relevant.

Left with a feeling that he got off too easy. Oh well.

Americans should be worrying about how to make the USA a safe country for children, students, theater-goers, unarmed Blacks, and quit fighting for warlords in the Middle East of all places.

I was offering was a general idea/thought/consideration the subject offered me for reflective thought..........I am sorry you took it that way............And I was clumsy in not making that clear.......I'll try to be clearer in the future.........

No harm done. ;)

Not at all......they are sorry they did not get the bas**rd first

I don't know about British procedures, but if he were an American Citizens, I would hope there was some kind of due process ahead of time.
