US airstrike targets notorious ISIS militant Jihadi John | Fox News

DEVELOPINGThe Pentagon said late Thursday it had launched an airstrike in Syria targeting "Jihadi John", a British national seen in videos depicting the beheading of hostages held by ISIS.Pentagon spokesman Peter Cook confirmed that the airstrike in Raqqa was directed at the notorious militant, also known as Mohamed Emwazi. It was not immediately clear whether Emwazi died in the airstrike, but a senior U.S. military official told Fox News, "we are 99 percent sure we got him." The Pentagon was monitoring the aftermath of the strike before making a definitive announcement.
A senior U.S. defense official told Fox News that a drone was used in the airstrike. According to a senior military source, the drone had been tracking Emwazi for most of the day Thursday while he met with other people. The source said the strike took place shortly after Emwazi came out of a building in Raqqa, when he was "ID'd and engaged."

Unfortunately, the only befitting death for him would have been to have been beheaded himself, but if he's dead I'll take it.

If, in fact, this notorious murderer was killed, it would be a welcome development, as he posed a continuing threat to innocent people.

When I'm safely home this evening, and "Happy Hour" begins, I shall offer up a "Cheers" to all those who took part in this mission and wish them all a very safe, long, and prosperous life.

I don't believe in Hell, but if there is one, I hope that SOB has a very special place in it.

What a Dog & Pony Show the entire war on terror is....:doh

Hope to hear he's dead however I remember a while ago reading he'd gone on the run in Turkey and or Syria as he feared ISIS no longer had any use for him.

The British-raised terrorist and executioner known as 'Jihadi John' has reportedly fled for his life from his comrades of the Islamic State, Britain's Daily Express reported Monday.
26-year-old Mohammed Emwazi, it seems, fears both the U.S.-led coalition forces and his own comrades in ISIS, who think he has outlived his usefulness.
