Sanders vows to 'keep our promise' to vets

yes seriously.

empty bills and gestures while our veterans still suffer.
So you're now blaming Sanders because others refuse to do anything? Sanders has a history of fighting to help our veterans, doing whatever is necessary.

as a veteran and one who works with disabled veterans I can tell you it's lip service and a crock of ****.

the links I provided above back up my position.

yeah, he's better than nothing, wait, no the last choice act makes it worse than it was before so..... lateral at best at this point.

thanks!

and kudos to you for having the courage to admit when you're wrong.

For God's Sake man....Socialism is a social-economic form of government. Ok - Sanders is a "democratic socialist"? Ok...let's play - What kind of socialist is he? C'mon....I know you know the answer.

1. Socialism is government ownership of the means of production. I see precisely zero evidence that Sanders supports government means of production.

Bernie Sanders on the Issues

Rather than engaging in the sadly typical practice of going "come on, you know I'm right," how about you prove me wrong...if I am wrong? Give me some sort of citation to him believing that the U.S. government should take over the means of production in this country.

(And now, don't cite something like a statement that Wall Street should be better regulated. That's not government ownership of the means of production).

2. What portion of the Constitution states or has been interpreted as meaning that it would be unconstitutional for the U.S. government to own the means of production? Again, bearing in mind that neither myself nor Bernie Sanders thinks it should, of course.

3. Wrong. Again, socialism is an economic system in which the government, no matter its form, owns the means of production. A direct democracy could be socialist. So could a representative democracy, or a monarchy, or an oligarchy.

is that the gif you post whenever you've been intellectually defeated on a message board?

Well, he did post a "/facepalm" at me a couple of hours ago. So there's that.

asked an answer, nothing can even be thought of until hearts and minds are changed. the way to do that is talk about it as I am.

That answer is pure BS and not even the good kind that can be used for fertilizer. This is the typical garbage we get - rants about problems but then no specific solutions to propose.

You are simply trolling trying to get a rise out of people.

I think we can all agree that when you start spamming your own thread with irrelevant gifs, it's fair to say you're been soundly defeated.

yes, this veteran, who works with several veterans organizations, who see how this **** works first hand, who posted 4 articles from the American legion, disabledvets.org, and NPR backing up my claim, is..... lying.

Don't worry kid, disabled veterans are already "Feeling the bern", sadly.

son, I don't think you're lying, but I do think you're flailing around trying to find something, anything that will allow you to stick to your original point, which has been proven wrong over and over again in this thread.

I bet your hoping for a response....

I think the program could include a "choice card" made of pure fecal matter and you would find a way to praise it somehow.

Right. Because I just don't care about the vets? It's a very good thing that I don't care what you think of me then I guess.

I'm sorry guys, I am still real fuzzy on which of the political parties actually supports our military and/or veterans.

Are we talking about the party that sends our military to long terms wars taking many lives and sometimes based on questionable information, to the general benefit of a military industrial complex some in the party are clearly in bed with, that continually fail to expand federal healthcare and education programs for actual veterans, allow for conditions where navigating the VA a absolute nightmare and complete shame, all the while adding Trillions to our debt to fund their imperialism?

Or are we talking about the other party that generally wants to cut the military at any opportunity in favor of other spending, but without really cutting military usage as to go after their own brand of imperialism in Constitutionally questionable ways, that equates to treating the military like a guard dog you only bring out when you want to sleep but lock up during parties?

At this point I question if there really is a political party out there that really gives a **** about our military forces and our veterans. I am sorry, but I think both Republicans and Democrats are playing politics with our military to the point of epic disgrace and outright fabrication, all the while each side claims to champion the military and veterans.

I hear ya. But you most likely won't hear this on FOXNews or from any of my conservative/republican friends....

Dispite an obstructionist GOP congress.....

I hope that helps you figure it out...

so.... begs the question if he is to be believed....

He found a way to introduce a bill on recreational marijuana at an opportune time in his campaign.... where is his veterans bill?

Sanders promotes a ideology thats not compatible with our Constitution, thinks this Nation was built on the backs of slaves, is anti- free market and wants to tank what's left of a American economy thats on life support

Whats he he know about Patriotism ?

republicans suck, thier willingness to send us to war (with democrats approval) is far greater than thier willingness to provide services they deserve when they get home, but all this back patting democrats are doing is pretty sick as well..

For example liberal snopes called obama's claim that he cut veteran homelessness by 1/3 is "mostly true" but... in the article they say:

"The one-year estimate of sheltered veterans does not support the 33 percent number Obama offered. According to the most recent data, there were just 6.5 percent fewer homeless veterans from 2009 to 2013."

they brag about reducing veteran homelessness, when the real numbers are 50k down to 48k.

not enough is being done, and to claim one side is the one who cares about vets is more political posturing than reality. Neither do.
