Police Kill 6-year-old autistic boy

yes, they were arrested quickly, the issue however is the frequency of police instigated violence, and the warrior mentality taught to academy cadets.

these things should not be daily occurrances.

good thing they are not. they are few and far between. 99% of the populace have no issues with the police.

Eh he didnt do too bad i guess if the guy was hopped up on drugs. You can see the hairy scraggle guy has a huge back and is probably pretty strong even without the drugs. Suprised the cop didnt back up and shoot him like they would now days.

No he did horribly. it was embarrassing, I was embarrassed for him. basics like underhooks, basic positioning for a take down, protecting your neck... he wasn't that big./

the **** you talking bout?

Everyday there are multiple occurrences of cops not acting properly and abusing citizens.

so what you are saying is that they are more likely to be in some sort of hand to hand struggle than use thier weapons.

Then why are they trained and spend their own money primarily on weapons training?

They aren't "fighting" every day and they are not at war.

you can see this by thier lack of interest as a whole in hard training.

770 hours of required training in my state. How exactly can you say it is a lack of interest when they don't get the time or money to do it as much as they NEED it (keeping in mind that they also don't train as much as they NEED with firearms too...specifically handguns, NYPD having a bystander count requirement I believe).

which this cop couldn't due to his piss poor training.

His training looked fine. He is alive. He was fighting someone who literally felt NOTHING and he had to end the fight with an ILLEGAL move (choke). Pain compliance doesn't work if someone can't feel it.

The instructor is right not a ufc fighter, but at least a blue belt in a competent BJJ school or equivelent judo rank at minimum.

BJJ alone isn't going to cut it. And I practice it. A lot. With judo mix. But I attend the self defense classes done in my gym as well.

but that **** isn't as tacti-cool and it's hard work.

yea. And? You want to mandate training and pay for it? Do you realize that in order to increase the standards you pay more for it. Where is that going to come from?

you miss the point, for every dollar spent on tacticool warfighter ****, they need to spend a dollar on de-escalation training. it needs to be drilled into thier heads they are there to help, not there to detain and find someone to arrest, assault.

if you practiced "BJJ with judo mix" you would have seen all throughout the video classic mistakes the officer makes that most not trained in these particular arts make.

any wrestler, grappler, bjjj, judo guy can see this guy has NO training in any grappling technuiques and put himself in jeapoardy from that lack of training.

I want to reduce the tactical training and pay for the de-escalation training with that savings.

kid, see you grew up a racist, I grew up and went to a school that was 80% black.

You think you see racism everywhere and that your an expert on it due to your upbringing.

I have seen actual racism, I've seen it both ways. you cheapen the very real issue of abhorrent racism by looking for racism where you have no real evidence it exists.

You have this guilt of being a former racist and you seem to need to have others be racist to make your own abhorrent past less unique to assuage your own personal guilt and to lessen the damage you think you may have caused by your former ways.

But you are right, I will never see through the eyes of a reformed racist who came from a family of racists. But I can understand your need to find more racists to make your past evils more tolerable.

Godspeed bro, congrats on understanding racism is wrong.

You went to a school that was 80% black, whereas I went to one that was 95% black...and that was the year that "Roots" came out. That was also the year after I went to an all-white school (in a 71%-black county) that was a "segregation academy".

And you can try to make up excuses all you want how I'm somehow seeing things that aren't there. But they are there - I will not bury my head in the sand and pretend that it ain't there just to make you feel better. The fact that you make a conscious decision to not acknowledge the obvious doesn't make the obvious any less factual.
