Yup, you've got two instances of anonymous random dudes on campus saying "nigger" and one act of vandalism involving a swastika.

Why any of this is somehow requires a response from him other than to pursue criminal investigation against the vandal, I'm not sure. Other than that if asked, he could and should just resolutely say that freedom of speech in public places means that sometimes folks say things you don't like but that obviously the opinions of one idiot do not represent the views of himself or the university.

The thing is, vandalism happens everywhere; go to a random bathroom stall somewhere and there's good odds some idiot with a knife carved something obscene or racist there. It sucks, but there it is. And as far as racial slurs go, yell back at them or ignore them, but move the **** on with your life and don't give them power over you. Random anonymous dip****s will always say things for attention as long as you give it to them.

Could have and should have been resolute in the face of this bull****. Instead, he caved and then he caved again by quitting.

You see the reason why here. Every single Republican, even the ones who refuse to say they are Republicans, thinks this is no big deal and are taking the side of the brass. Basically they are saying what 'most' Republican believe nowadays, there is no racism anymore in this country.

I'm not there, I have no idea if the students are exaggerating or not. Maybe they are. It just jumps out that of all the Universities in this country, this ONE says there's a problem. And even some whites are saying something needs to be done.

Where's there smoke there's fire type of thing.

That's what I wonder too. Unless it was the faculty that hurt the feelings of adults by calling them a name, what was he supposed to do? I've seen bull**** stories before, but this one takes the cake.
 
Dude, you can't even show there's smoke here, much less fire. A couple of entitled asshats got called a name so racially insensitive it's used with regularity throughout the music the students CHOOSE to listen to. Oh, and there was some stupid vandalism which hurt precisely no one and was easily cleaned. ****in' whiners and babies.

If you're going to college, unless you're a rare prodigy, you're an adult. Acting like an adult should be expected of adults.

Colleges today do seem to be all about protecting these delicate little snowflakes from "triggers" and "microaggressions."

So I guess they can't handle actual randoms driving by and being overtly racist and want the university president to wave his hands in the air and make racism disappear or something.

Yep, all these kids, the protests, the faulty that's supporting them, and football coaches are all wrong and fabricating this.. It's a conspiracy to take down ONE guy, for whatever reason. Let's make a reason up.

Episodes in which racists drive by on the street in pick-up trucks and say mean things is not rationally this guy's fault here in reality on planet Earth.

Vandals aren't always caught, though. Sucks, but then the owner just has to clean up the mess.


Unless Tim Wolfe is on camera spreading his cheeks to facilitate said vandalism, there's not much that makes this his responsibility. His custodial employees should clean up the mess and local police should investigate.

Perhaps the Missouri Board of Regents can replace him with Missouri alumnus Michael Sam. They could appease two constituencies (gays and blacks) with that move.

After all, Sam is currently unemployed since he quit his CFL gig with the Montreal Alouettes.

I have yet to see a single post or link on the internet that shows me what specifically he did, or where he had some responsibility that he shirked. Nothing.
