Bush 41 has a new book scheduled to hit the rack of your local book store soon…..Entitled Destiny and Power

What is remarkable is the president has few if any good thing about both Cheney and Rumsfeld and goes on to blame his son for allowing them to have too much power in running this country amuck…… and said both used Bush 43 to do their bidding as GW was a marionette on a string….

“Destiny and Power shows a VP with more authority than almost all his predecessors, making plain Bush Jr’s administration could have been even worse”

Bound to create controversy and put both Jeb and Gorge on the hot seat……..

I will not buy the book. I will not support the criminal Bush family in any way, including a book purchase.

Anybody paying attention 15 years ago and more already knew that Cheney and Rummy were crooks and domestic enemies, and so was Boy George 43.

I suppose 41 is just trying to impress the gullible.

Yeah, monkey bush was a harmless guy with absolutely no power over the VP

This whole revelation bull**** is a joke. HW is growing senile.

Dangerous is an opinion. I think he was called aggressive by Bush.

There is a huge back story here that isn't really exposed. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

..should we hold out breath..........or try to read your mind as what the story is:confused:

I can tell it but I have to figure out how to tell it without another guy in hot water and I have nothing solid that I can use to back it up. After during GW Bush's second presidential campaign he realized that he couldn't trust Cheney or Rumsfeld. He couldn't do much about Cheney other than put him on a short leash. He could do more to limit Rumsfeld. Him and Rumsfeld had a falling out. A lot of that had to do with General Shinseki. Shinseki and Rummy didn't see eye to eye and his troop estimates for Iraq made more sense than Rummy's did. Bush was going to put Rumsfeld on a short leash and make some changes in the way the Army and Army National Guard were going to be managed (Shinseki's ideas). Rummy didn't like it so Rummy threw a tantrum and quit. Bush didn't have as much confidence in his staff in his second term so he relied less on advice from his staff. He was kind of out there on his own in his second term. He picked his cabinet so that is on him.

With all due respect............

Anyone who stayed up on the events of that time is aware of all you so accurately shared............Now I understand your concern about your "other guy"...........but this sure leaves the rest of us with what was commonly referred to back in the day as a case of "blue balls"...............

That is why I only posted what I posted. It isn't anything that isn't publicly available. My point is that I am surprised that Bush Sr. would come out with a book that points this out while Jeb is running in the primaries. It isn't hard to connect the dots. The only thing I left out is specifics about friction and disagreements between individuals.

Sr. candor sure is "shocking" for a period in time "spin" is the first choice in telling the "truth...........

And has.........as far as I have seen so far left more than a few folks breathless....

Me thinks 41 has a real "hard on' for Cheney and shows that not only the other side of the aisle see him as a dangerous loose cannon who should have been tried as a war criminal in the World Court.........

Fun fact. Clinton gave Halliburton its first no bid contract and Hillary claimed Sadaam Hussein not only had WMD but was giving aid and comfort to Al Qaeda.

And Donald Rumsfeld personally went to Iraq and sold all the chemical weapons to Saddam he could buy to use against the Iranians...........

So what's your point?
