Thousands of nonviolent offenders begin release, but difficulties remain

Not really. He was all about shoving a transgender woman into a men's prison in another thread. That is far beyond excessive.
1. I am not the topic of discussion here.
2. This is not about the other thread.
3. I see you are again speaking about that which you do not know. Figures.

I'm wondering if there's any level of punishment you'd ever consider to be excessive.
That is not the topic of this thread.
And if you didn't notice, I am on the record saying I am fine with their release as long as they are rehabilitated.

The last British non-violent non-offender left Guantanamo Bay today.

You said "winded". iLOL

If they have been rehabilitated there is nothing wrong with this. If they haven't been, they need to remain in prison until they have.

Putting drug offenders in prison is a good thing because it removes from society those who do not want to live by societies rules.

Outstanding news! the US has 5% of the worlds population and 25% of those incarcerated. This is largely due to the fact that private companies profit from keeping people incarcerated. Another failure of capitalism.

Speeding can endanger people and your self.
The short answer is yes.
The long answer is predicated on exceptions such as an established reason to need to speed and only for subsequent offenses and amount of speed. Starting with minor jail time (15 days) progressing upwards, and if need be for further offenses, prison time.

LOL if you're going to troll at least put some effort in to it.

You must be speaking of your own behavior as validly answering a question is not trolling.

Would your outrage be the same if your wife, mother or little children were the victim of one of the seemingly idolized newly released?

Well being that I don't believe in a "minority report" society where we convict people on crimes they have not committed but we believe they will.... kind of makes your personalized argument one of complete and utter BS.

It won't take any combing, all that will need to be done is watch the criminal courts fill with repeat offenders. They've been releasing criminals from prisons in California for some time now. The spike in violent crime is all that is needed to see how things are working out.

Perhaps ProgLibs can start a GoFundMe plan to raise money for all the future victims of these celebrated former inmates.

What spike in violent crime in California?

Just lost your cred.
Easy, wannit?

It is the topic of this thread.

The current laws on the subject result in excessive punishment. So far your only response is "hurf durf it's the law." No ****, sherlock. That's the problem.

Or you could skip posting nonsense and answer.

Portugal decriminalized drugs fourteen years ago and it has worked out well for them. It's time to follow suit.

So we should follow the law even if the law is unjust?

Yes. We don't get to pick and choose which laws we find unjust.

Don't like a law, work to change it.

Why even post such silliness? This isn't the eighth grade.

'Seemingly idolized'? Care to elaborate? Or are those just meaningless words that you like the sound of?

Or do what I do- ignore it when you can.

Now liberals line me out on how these scumbags find employment or will they simply return to the life long life styles they believe in? Non-violent crimes include theft like stealing everything in your home while you were away. Now I'm certain none of you liberals would call the cops if that happened to you and if they found the thieves you would not want them prosecuted and sent back to prison.

You must have a neat crystal ball you know all these things.

But, I think it must be broken.

Or you could leave my family out of your irrelevant posts and stick to the topic.

Uhh, yes. People who commit crimes should be punished. Exactly what part do you think we're disagreeing with? When a liberal says "non-violent drug offenses are seriously over-punished in the United States," your interpretation is "PEOPLE SHOULDNT EVER GO TO JAIL!"

Can you explain why you interpreted it this way?
