Iraq leans toward Russia in war on Islamic State

I'm meant to care what someone being an ass on the internet thinks why?

Though I can't be blamed for your inability to search Wikipedia for Assad's family history.

Ah, a wikipedist. That explains it.

You really live to troll or attempt to wind people up don't you, assume whatever you want. If you aren't a troll, and are in bed with Assad, then a useful idiot for dictatorships is never hard to find. Pro war, pro-dictatorship, and anti-liberty, and you call yourself a 'libertarian'. It is like someone calling themselves a 'social democrat' when they are a 'stalinist', 'maoist' or a 'francoist'.

I'm not into labels because they are too confining. Someday you might understand that. :peace

Yet you use one to describe yourself. Still want to hear more white-washed history, like how Assad's father didn't come to power and retain it by violence and wiping out his political opponents, then pass the reigns to the next Assad who attempted the same thing as his father, the moment protests began.

Apparently to you if something is on Wikipedia (being an easy to access site) it never happened, even if the official sources it links to confirm the events, and the events are in nearly every credible textbook, and described by MSM since the events in Syria. This isn't secret knowledge or hard to find, but historical fact, so any google search would bring it up.

Actually, I find Wikipedia very helpful and consider it a good thing.

The trouble with it is that it is so often edited. I understand that editing function is also useful, and holds great potential for accuracy. The downside is that the editing can also be abused for propaganda purposes, and there are examples of that.

So my only point regarding Wiki is that it is not always true and accurate. We would like to think that it is, but that is not always the case. Thus I take Wiki things with a grain of salt--maybe true, maybe false.

And so it begins. Russia is going to suffer consequences for getting involved. We should let them.
