Calif. Kindergartener Kicked Out of Christian School for Having 2 Moms

Yes, they were surprised, and this is why:

KGTV got a copy of the school's parent and student handbook which was revised over the summer. Under the school's statement of nondiscrimination, the handbook declared the school's right to "refuse admission of an applicant or to discontinue enrollment of a student."

"This includes, but is not necessarily limited to, living in, condoning or supporting sexual immorality; practicing homosexual lifestyle or alternative gender identity; promoting such practices; or otherwise having the inability to support the moral principles of the school," the handbook continued, according to the news station.

That's why their daughter had been attending that school for the past year, including summer school... which the child was also enrolled in while the administrators were busy re-writing their student handbook in order to kick her out. Her parents had every right to be surprised, stunned and angry.

So they changed the hand book in order to exclude and kick out ONE STUDENT. I hope this school gets some violent protests, and burning crosses outside their steps. I dont think anyone can defend this as a religous act, they are just using that as a reason to be complete dicks.

Open to those members of the public who wish to comply with their membership rules. At the end of the day, they are a private organization whose members retain their rights to freedom of association. Private groups of any sort need to be autonomous from the State and from other members of the community.

And if these groups wish to be private, membership-only clubs, they're welcome to do so. But if they choose to have their doors open to the public so that anyone off the street can come in and spend money, they are not allowed to discriminate. Welcome to reality.

If this manufactured outrage doesn't work, they can always claim racism.

I hate it when conservatives dont follow rules written by the left. Thankfully we have Christians on this board who do. I mean its a CHILD! A Child!! For pete's sake!

But a child of a lesser god.

In the end it will be for the kid's own good. Can you imagine how terrible of a science education the kid would have received at that school.

Christian school kicks little girl out.

Muslim school cuts head off.

When the **** are you going to learn the difference. In fact why don't you call these two mothers and suggest a Muslim school, see how that works. They ARE the religion of peace right?

Demonstrate to me that there is no other daycare available.

Well since we are taking the actions of extremists and applying it to an entire religion, let's look at what some Christian groups do with kids like the LRA:

Dude you should watch the videos of the refugees pouring into the UK, because you are asleep. You are not getting it. These people expect you to change, and will cause all kinds of problems until you do. They want Sharia Law.

Even if every one of the world's 1.7 billion Muslims wanted some Taliban version of Sharia Law, it still would have nothing to do with the topic of this thread. Please quote the verse where Jesus said its OK to be a hatemongering bigot so long a you can point to someone else that is worse.

Well if that's the case then maybe they'd have a case.

I wouldn't put it past a school entity to adjust current rules to enforce their interest.

Gee - two lesbians put their daughter in a private Catholic school . . . and then are surprised?

I think this is clearly intention on their part - using their daughter to gain publicity on the subject of gay rights.

Their daughter was in the school for the entire year before. They changed the policy over this summer.

You people and your outrage are so selective.

Gee, I wonder why the left hasn't come down on Madrasa's ? They're all over the United States

I wonder what their position would be on a student with two Mommies.
Why says I support them?

Very Very Often....those who wrap themselves with the "Christian" label do some of the most Un-Christian things.

The article in the OP states.

That doesn't say it was revised to include that portion.
For all we know that could have been there all along.
Secondly, even if this portion was the revised part, it very well could have been policy all along but just not included in the "handbook".

And she wasn't kicked out but "denied permission to enroll" because of the policy.

They changed the policy over this summer.
It doesn't say that.
It says the "parent and student handbook" was revised over the summer.

They have no case.

In case anyone is interested.
Here is the original report.
Team 10: Girl barred from San Diego school due to lesbian parents

The last two statements from the reporter in the video says it all.

Team 10 reached out to the ACLU and LGBT Center and San Diego Pride for comment. All three organizations told us that they're staying out of this dispute because of the complexity of the law.

It's a real dick move, but they're private and can be dicks like that.

I agree. I personally wouldn't make the decision they made, but they are private, and attendees have a choice to not associate with them. If you do, you abide by their rules. You can't do this in a public school, and while I find their policy offensive, I also respect the idea that people are entitled to project their beliefs all day long in a private school.

They have no case.

I hate watching videos.

Can't you just do intro/body/conclusion and subject/verb/object ??

(That's a nice little kitty in your avatar though!)
