Scott Walker: U.S.-Canada wall a 'legitimate' idea - CNNPolitics.com
It's not just the southern border: Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker says it's "legitimate" to discuss building a wall separating the United States from Canada, as well.

The Republican presidential contender said the idea of a northern border has come up while he has campaigned in New Hampshire.

In an interview for NBC's "Meet the Press" available online, Walker said his tough talk to securing the borders and enforcing U.S. laws extends to the 5,525-mile Canadian
I'm all for this if it will help keep out hockey and Labatt's Blue... Seriously though, this guy is a tool.

Labatt Blue sucks, I'll give you that....but Moose Head lager is pretty darn good.

One of my rules of thumb is "never drink anything out of a green or blue bottle"

Yuengling comes in a green bottle, and that stuff isn't half bad...I have never seen beer that comes in a blue bottle before. Only booze I know of that comes in a blue bottle would be....sky vodka, I guess?

Which makes me wonder....what DOES factor into the color of a beer bottle? Like, why does bud use brown bottles, while others use clear bottles, while still others use green bottles?

Imagine the cost to build a wall roughly the length of the great wall of China along the US Canadian border....

we can build it while cutting taxes and expanding the wars in the Middle East, i'm sure. all we have to do is defund education and bust some unions. we have to prioritize, and it's vital that we keep the Canadians out. they have the soshulizm up there, and we have to protect ourselves against the reds. if they invade, they might insist on more efficient and cost effective health care.

Who cares about the cost. Deficits don't matter any more. Think of all the union jobs

So right. (......) I was wondering when one of these far-right-winged space nuts would try to 1-up The Donald. Seems we've found our other idiot...er, um...man.

Probably light penetration. Milk containers were recommended to be opaque due to a breakdown of some protein.

we're losing a lot of money by not releasing action figures of both sides, complete with battle sets. imagine how epic the Trump tower battle set would be, and Hillary could have a castle or something.

collect 'em all.

Trump will have to outdo Walker. He'll build a wall twice as high topped with razor wire and machine gun turrets, nary a Canadian will breach it.

This seeming fetish for border walls is a sad commentary on the superficiality of the 2016 campaign to date and probably the candidates advocating such ideas, as well. A wall along the Canadian border would undercut the long-held idea that the U.S. and Canada are exceptionally close neighbors. Perhaps the Wisconsin Governor dreams that he can transform his walls into a tourism magnet along the lines of the Great Wall of China much as Trump believes he can make Mexico pay for his proposed wall? Maybe both believe the construction of a wall would boost the nation's economy despite their opposition to the idea of fiscal stimulus?

The 2016 campaign will very likely be won on ideas tied to the economy, jobs, and national security. Even a "Wall around America" proposal won't be a major factor, even as it could cost tens of billions of dollars or more. The nation has some serious long-term fiscal challenges, and also opportunities. Serious policy, not cheap gimmicks, should drive the discussion.

Agreed, This Canadian border wall rhetoric only appeals to extreme xenophobes who probably don't even know where Canada is.

well, to be fair to Walker on the subject of the northern wall, winter is coming.

That pretty sums of the education levels of people that would buy into this.

This goes to show you why Walker ain't ready for prime time; he is going come up with really odd policy angles and not back down from them. Maybe he should have gone to college. He might have learn't somin'

I've heard that was a good beer but, I haven't seen it in TX.
