Sheriffs Deputy Gunned Down

Then again, maybe it's guilt by association, profiling or racism. Why not choose an officer who was accused of wrong doing, not in uniform or non-white? Affter all, you would likely not cut a police officer any slack for coming down harder on a member of a "high crime" group (perhaps a young black male?) - trying to explain it away as an "unfiortunate consequence".

There's no rationale or excuse for the killing of this officer. Its a senseless tragedy. But I've made that same comment about many citizens killed by cops. Its kind of like the stupidity of angry citizens over cop slayings looting and burning their towns. It makes no sense, but it doesn't change the fact that people have a grievance. Many of us see a growing problem in the way LEO's are engaging American citizens and we want reform. Not more dead cops or citizens.
