Clinton compares GOP’s views on women to ‘terrorist groups’

we have folks like todd aiken telling us about "legitimate" rape
trent frank: "before ... my friends on the left side of the aisle here tried to make rape and incest the subject - because, you know, the incidence of rape resulting in pregnancy are very low"
"but on the rape thing, it's like how does putting more violence onto a woman's body and taking the life of an innocent child that's a consequence of this crime, how does that make it any better?" ~ john koster
"Consensual sex can turn into rape in an awful hurry...All of a sudden a young lady gets pregnant and the parents are madder than a wet hen and she's not going to say, 'Oh, yeah, I was part of the program." roger rivard
joe walsh: ""Understand though, that when we talk about exceptions, we talk about rape, incest, health of a woman, life of a woman. Life of the woman is not an exception."
"I struggled with it myself for a long time, and I realized that life is a gift from God, and I think even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something God intended to happen." ~ richard mourdock
"I would hope that when a woman goes into a physician with a rape issue, that that physician will indeed ask her about perhaps her marriage, was this pregnancy caused by normal relations in a marriage, or was it truly caused by a rape." ~ chuck winder
[singer]Ethel Waters, for example, was the result of forcible rape."~ mike huckabee, on the upside of pregnancy after rape
"if it's a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down." ~ todd akin
abortions make up "well over 90 percent of what Planned Parenthood does." ~ jon kyl
who knew ... other than republican, jan brewer: Life begins "from the first day of the last menstrual period of the pregnant woman."
tom smith, comparing pregnancy caused by rape to having a baby out of wedlock: "put yourself in the father's situation. yes, it is similar."
"the facts show that people who are raped —who are truly raped—the juices don't flow, the body functions don't work and they don't get pregnant. medical authorities agree that this is a rarity, if ever." ~ asshole henry aldridge
steve king on never hearing of a rape-induced pregnancy before: "i just haven't heard of that being a circumstance that's been brought to me in any personal way, and i'd be open to discussion about that subject matter."
mister i know better than the women do what they should do with their bodies, rick santorum: "one of the things i will talk about, that no president has talked about before, is i think the dangers of contraception in this country.... many of the Christian faith have said, well, that's okay, contraception is okay. it's not okay. it's a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be."
crazy assed michelle bachmann on the "dangers" of the HPV vaccine: "it's Jessica who's having to have her body live with the ravages of this vaccine."
he said whatttttttttt about rape?????????: "as long as it's inevitable, you might as well lie back and enjoy it." ~ clayton williams
while florida governor, he refused to veto a bill that forced women who put their children up for adoption to publish the names of possible dads in the newspaper – it was called the “Scarlet Letter law". that's our jeb!
then we have scott walker, whp repealed wisconsin’s only equal pay law and supported an anti-choice law that would force women to have invasive and unnecessary transvaginal ultrasounds before seeking abortions
and then we have five GOP presidential candidates who oppose abortion even if it is necessary to save the mother's life: GOP Candidates Who'd Force Women to Birth a Rapist's Baby, Deny Her Child Citizenship

yes mam, these are all GOP members of the American taliban
the very folks those like you support and defend

in this rare instance, hillary got it right

The Taliban throw acid in little girls faces because they want to go to school, and practice mass child rape as a matter of policy. They encourage honor-killings of young girls as a matter of policy. So no. That's not at all the same as a candidate saying something stupid about rape.

This is the kind of idiot hackery I expect out of our low-IQ leftwing hacks. :( I respected you more than this. What the **** is wrong with you, that you see no moral dividing line between saying something stupid in public and pouring acid into a sobbing little girls' eyes?

Hillary expected (apparently) to be trying to hit the War on Women Theme at this point in the campaign. Instead, it turns out she and her aides broke some pretty serious federal laws designed to ensure national security. So this is her way of trying to change the conversation, and get Democrats who are maybe turned off and looking at Biden to defend her.

I think this is just what Hillary is doing. The so-called "war on women" would have resonated years ago, but not today. I want to hear Hillary in a debate the first time somebody asks, "In your tenure as Sec/State, what did YOU do to help women all over the world? And in that world where hundreds of little girls have been kidnapped and thousands of women sold into sexual slavery, please do go on about how there is a "war on women" in the United States...."

Bingo. And that's where I'd ask Hillary why she feels she can accuse others of a war on women, when she took money from countries who actually really do atrociously abuse women. At least Michelle took part in a hashtag campaign, and refused to wear hijab when flying to Saudi Arabia.

i think this says it best:
She's absolutely right - both the GOP and terrorist have extremist views about women that are out of date and out of touch
i have shared some of the republican extremist views regarding women in my prior post

.
OK. I was thinking of Trump's earlier statement covered by the media and / or the debates.

Look at it this way, if you are a corrupt failing country (the drug cartels kinda run the place), such as Mexico, had limited funds, why wouldn't you be pushing the people that consume the most of the government resources to some sucker gringos up north to be rid of them?

Yeah, I can kinda see that happening.

Unbelievable a corrupt government is pushing these people here because they consume too much of the resources, that's rediculous. The fact is that most of them come here because they want a better life for themselves and their family. They want what we have and come here and stay out of trouble. Of cource there are some who are criminals we must use our limited resources to rid our nation of these people first. Trump says he will get the the Mexican government to pay for a wall. Really? On one hand he says the Mexican government wants to push people here, while on the other hand he says the Mexican government will pay for it.

Trying to defund Planned Parenthood is not a war on woman!?

If your best argument is "We're not as bad as the Taliban!" then you're struggling.

Mexico pushing people to go across the border, yeah, while you can't believe it, I can see it happening, so within the realm of the possible.

Hey, if Trump can get the Mexico government to pay for the wall, I'm all for it. If not, I'm OK with building it ourselves.

Perhaps take the illegal aliens and put them to work building the wall for us before we send them back, eh? Now that'd be a thinking out of the box solution, wouldn't it?

If your accusation is that your political opponents are as bad as the Taliban, then you're struggling just as badly.

With repubs trying to defund PP (there's talk about holding the budget hostage to PP funding) and candidates who are anti-choice (with some opposing abortions even in cases of rape and incest), one has to be in denial to think it won't be an issue in the upcoming capaign

No, it wouldn't many these aliens have jobs, pay taxes, social security. They add to the economy. They only thing a wall would do is keep them locked in our county once they get here.5

No, all a wall would accomplish is locking them in this country once they get here. Many POV them have jobs pay taxes and social security; they add to the economy.

Don't have a problem with immigrants adding to the economy and paying taxes. Just wish they'd be doing it legally rather than illegally.

A wall would also keep the illegals out, keep them from illegally crossing the border. A sovereign nation without a controlled border isn't a sovereign any longer. Thanks, I think the US should remain a sovereign nation.

There is also a practical limit to the number of immigrants this nation can accept.

i have shared some of the republican extremist views regarding women in my prior post

You used an aggregator that tried to go out and find as many quotes by Republicans as they could that they could make look as silly as they could. The point stands. You are comparing ridiculously unlike things in order to try to paint people you disagree with as evil, and you are doing so as part of an attempt to change the subject from lawbreaking by one of our highest public officials. On this thread, you are what's wrong with our political discourse.

Your argument here is about as legitimate as if I were to take your sig line, point out that the other people who complain about Israel are Palestinian terrorists who murder innocents, and talk about how it's unfortunate that we see the same kind of anti-semitic, murderous, support of terrorism from people like you.

Or hey. Feel free to prove me wrong by showing me where the GOP platform calls for pouring acid in little girls faces.

Or hey, maybe not. Maybe you'll think about it and realize that there is a definite difference between raping someone and not wanting to kill the child that's a result of that rape. Perhaps you will sit down and say too yourself "wait a minute - maybe being pro-life isn't the same thing as bludgeoning a little girl to death because some boy flirted with her, or pouring acid into her sobbing face because she wanted to read and dream. But I'm betting you won't. People emotionally immature enough to make the argument you are making here usually aren't all that gifted at self-reflection.

Nope. If anything, defunding planned parenthood may help to save many womens' lives.

If your best argument is a variant of a Godwin-strawman, then you're not doing so hot yourself, either.

I see that you don't always approve of Israel's policies. You know who else didn't like Jews?

Seriously, what the **** is wrong with you people that you cannot tell the difference between a candidate saying something stupid about rape and a policy of actually murdering little girls? Are you all seriously this morally demented?

I am surprised this woman dares to talk about the presidency to begin with, such a shady past, OMG.

She reminds me of many women I meet in daily life. They act holy, run to church, but to really know them is to know the devil. These women make me believe in the devil, but not god.

You seem not to know what she said, let me fill you in:

“Extreme views about women – we expect that from some of the terrorist groups. We expect that from people who don’t want to live in the modern world. But it’s a little hard to take coming from Republicans who want to be the president of the United States. Yet they espouse out of date and out of touch policies,”

Anywho - a repost in case anyone actually thinks that Hillary gives a flying rats ass about the "war on women", or think that the followers in this thread are doing anything other than trying to help her change the subject:

For those of you who are wondering what Hillary and Bubba are trying to accomplish here:

Major Garrett, the CBS White House correspondent, has talked with White House aides who confirm that the administration is working from the theory of “stray voltage,” as developed by former White House senior adviser David Plouffe.

“The theory goes like this,” Garrett wrote. “Controversy sparks attention, attention provokes conversation, and conversation embeds previously unknown or marginalized ideas in the public consciousness,” Deliberately misstating information about key issues in order to keep certain issues before the public is often a premeditated strategy.

“The tactic represents one more step in the embrace of cynicism that has characterized President Obama’s journey in office,” John Dickerson wrote at Slate. “Facts, schmacts. As long as people are talking about an issue where my party has an advantage with voters, it’s good.”...

Hillary expected (apparently) to be trying to hit the War on Women Theme at this point in the campaign. Instead, it turns out she and her aides broke some pretty serious federal laws designed to ensure national security. what i have done is identify a variety of quotes from a variety of republican taliban members to underscore what hillary has presented. the GOP freight wing is backward, and wants to impose its will on women and their bodies. that is not unlike what we are seeing in the middle east; similarly fueled by a malignant belief that their religion compels it

if i respond to this directly, i will subject myself to discussing ME issues outside of the ME forum with its stupid and very biased martial laws

Or hey. Feel free to prove me wrong by showing me where the GOP platform calls for pouring acid in little girls faces.
as i posted previously, GOP presidential candidates and other republican officials have advocated taking away a woman's right to choose what to do with her body by seeking to compel her to give birth to the children conceived of rape, to be subject to dying in child birth by denying the woman an abortion. that is not throwing acid on their faces but is similarly very backwards in denying them the rights to choose what happens to their own bodies

Or hey, maybe not. Maybe you'll think about it and realize that there is a definite difference between raping someone and not wanting to kill the child that's a result of that rape.
notice your disregard of the rape victim you would compel to carry an unwanted child for nine months in her womb, despite that the seed was planted in her against her will and against her desire by a criminal she would never choose to father one of her children

Perhaps you will sit down and say too yourself "wait a minute - maybe being pro-life isn't the same thing as bludgeoning a little girl to death because some boy flirted with her, or pouring acid into her sobbing face because she wanted to read and dream. what i will do is recognize that the rape victim has a right to determine what happens to her own body. especially after it has been violated by a rapist. i would recognize that she may very well not embrace the extremist religious notions that would cause one to believe they are compelled to give birth to an unwanted bastard sired by a criminal rapist who violated her will

:( Sad to see that you aren't willing to rebut the fact that you hate jews. Just like Hitler.

This is just Hillary getting desperate and trying to reel in the insane wing of the Democratic Party.

Women are not victims not matter how hard Hillary and the Democratic Party wants to convince them they are. Its 2015 not 1915....by the way that is about the time Democrats were filibustering womens suffrage.

You can't be serious, are you going to say this every time she says something negative about her opponent? Your argument isn't rational thinking. It's GD funny though.:lamo

Hillary has a solid core in the Democrat Base that might stay with her (though I have predicted that, as soon as an acceptable alternative shows up, the majority will rapidly defect).

More importantly, Hillary has a crap ton of money, is completely unafraid of the bitterest kind of political mudslinging, and knows where all the bodies are buried.

The longer Trump is around, the more likely we are to get a Democrat in the White House. Those who are enjoying Trump confound the GOP out of some sense that this is their punishment for ignoring their base are ignoring the fact that Trump is to the left of the GOP. Fund Planned Parenthood? Check. Government Control over Healthcare? Check. Amnesty? Check. Gun Control? Check. History of Supporting Democrats? Check. Trump is a bigger RINO than Chris Christie.

If Trump (and, I think this is incredibly unlikely to happen) wins the nomination, then that isn't the fault of the GOP establishment - who have their own faults for which they deserve to be ridiculed. It is the fault of low-information conservative voters being entertained by a reality tv star and confusing that with actual political heft or ideological concurrence. They're going to spend the next few years being shocked as their policy preferences get wrecked and ignored by the man whose cult of personality they chose to immaturely entertain.

There is a new youtube trend popping up where you type in "cringe" and watch videos full of stuff that make you cringe and gives you the disgusting heebie jeebies Im pretty sure Trump is going to be in many of them.

Thats a serious charge, you should mind your Ps and Qs. That's baiting him. :(
