While media coverage has focused on a half-dozen of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s personal emails containing sensitive intelligence, the total number of her private emails identified by an ongoing State Department review as having contained classified data has ballooned to 60, officials told The Washington Times.

This doesn't include the two previous emails from the batch of 40.

From the first test batch of 40 we had a 5% hit rate of secret emails that should never have been on a private server... or on unsecured government systems.

... among 30,000 the FBI is combing through... that would mean 1500 breaches...

and of the 60, they'd have combed through 1200 emails... which seems about right.. considering they'll be done this job by January, a pace of 200 emails per day.

As one CNN national security expert, who worked in the intel services noted (paraphrasing)... she should be disqualified from the presidency for being so callous/frivolous with our nation's secrets.

It will be interesting to see what this criminal investigation into the More-Corrupt-than-the-Continent-of-Africa-Hillary-Clinton brings.

She should be held to the Petreaus Standard. He was fined $100,000 for one breach... so far... Hillary is at $6 Million in fines and penalties.

but as typical instead of saying that yeah I screwed up she is defending her actions as if she was right and she wasn't.
she is just like her husband. both of them should be banned from politics and never allowed to serve in office.

At this point all eyes will be on her seemingly testimony before Congress, even though that is primarily about Benghazi. Plenty of Republicans are saying already that the email controversy is relevant to that discussion so we will have to see how they proceed on that front.

So far the email part of the discussion is not getting that much media attention, they are all still in protection mode less the usual suspects that are gunning for her.

How does someone get "disqualified" for the elected office of President?

I mean...I know there are age requirements, citizenship requirements, and the like...but beyond that, what?

she is caught and has committed possible crimes that would rank as high crimes if she was in office.
perjury is a high crime.
having classified material on a un-secure server is a crime.

those crimes alone should make her not eligible for office.

nothing will be done and it will be a waste of time.

Technically speaking there is not really "disqualify" language in the Constitution. As in because of a criminal history, or intention, etc. But I suspect the spirit of the post means disqualification by public sentiment for Hillary Clinton. Just the appearance of impropriety or illegal actions does not seem to be enough, especially among supporting liberals. So, it looks like the game will be upped in an effort to "disqualify" her (even though that just means more campaign headwind.)

I assume mostly the same as you, but during a campaign season she may have to be more clever about it. Follow?

Saying another something as ill-thought out as "what difference, at this point, does it make?!?!" in obvious fluster is not going to help her case.

Mornin OS :2wave: Gowdy has stated time and time again. In order for him to proceed. He has to have the whole record. Which as he stated Sunday. Hillary could have taken care of this months ago. Even before his committee came to be. All she had to do was turn over the record to any of the other 8 Benghazi committees.

She didn't....and she has no excuse for that fact, whatsoever.

But I highly doubt that was the topic of the conversation.

Yes, there always has been and always will be corruption in politics, some stupidity too. If the media, hugely invested in defense contractors, wants her elected its because she's no liberal progressive like Sanders, she's a hawk!

I think the issue has legs now that Obama probably is reluctant to interfere with to any great extent. I have no idea who initiated the golf game thing - neither of them are great golfers, which doesn't mean they don't like playing, but it's the kind of thing where they could get away from everything and talk things over. I suspect that Bill is looking for cover for Hillary, but whether or not the FBI pushes this to it's obvious conclusion, the trial by the media will be likely be enough to ruin her ambitions. I'll be surprised if Biden doesn't get in.

Here she was yesterday at the Iowa Fair. She thought she could speak in a commanding voice. Then after the day is done. It comes out now that there are 60 emails. Now she is starting to look pathetic in her denial. WAPO even said she was in Warrior Mode. Now that is just totally Hillaryarious. :lamo

Obama has no more elections to win, so he has no further need for bill's political assistance
had to have been bill showing up to kiss Obama's ring and find out whether hillary should now be managing her campaign or her criminal defense

Anybody who bought her original line that no classified information ever passed through that server simply had his or her head up his or her ass. She knew this when she made that statement, and it was made explicitly for those with heads up asses and no one else. Few cabinet level positions in any administration deal with more classified information than the SoS. Why she ever thought that statement would fly is beyond me.

Oh, and Senator Grassley is prepared for when the FBI comes to some conclusions that cannot be avoided.



Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, said Clinton waited "a long time" before turning the server over.

"That's a long time for top secret classified information to be held by an unauthorized person outside of an approved, secure government facility," he said in a statement. "I look forward to the FBI answering my questions so the American people can be assured that everything has been done to protect our national security interests and hold accountable anyone who broke the rules."......snip~
