There is a big difference when the law only chooses who they punish.
One time my faher's car broke down and he was told by the law to get it off the road immediately. Later on there was a car that broke down out in front of his house and my father called the police to ask as to why it was sitting there for several days and the owner wasn't asked to have it moved; well the law said they knew about it and were working on getting it resolved.
Later we found out the owner was a cop.
and this surprises you?
cops have always been easy on other cops
call it one of the benefits of being a cop
one of my gun club buddies tells me a story about a dc cop he stopped in pg county....dude was drunk as a skunk
most people would have gotten a dwi that night.....this dc cop got a ride home from two officers
his sergeant got a call the next day about the incident, and the guy was forced to go into rehab
so yeah....i know cops go easy on other cops.....
do i think it is right in every case....no
do i think it promotes something overall bad though.....not really
the guys i know are good guys.....just trying to keep the peace, and make it home to their families at night
not one of them has been in a shooting situation that i know of......i hope they never are
