The problem with these yearly handouts is that they were meant to be temporary giving Israel the time to reach a balanced peace with its neighbors! The problem is that it increasingly becomes blatant that Israel under the guidance of Netanyaou simply will not look for peace with its neighbors not now not ever! For the simple reason that it enjoys the bliss of entitlement and won't part with it!
It was Ariel Sharon who once declared that he was happy with the US providing for the security of his state and Europe providing for the welfare of the Palestinians! Outside of Obama and his flacks, I haven't heard anyone say this is a good deal. It might have been the best we could get but that doesn't make it good. But it is really hard to believe Obama when he starts comparing opponents here to the Hardliners in Iran. If he is going to lie about that, then he will lie about anything. The Hardliners in Iran SUPPORT this deal. Iran is not a democracy. It is a dictatorship run by the biggest Hardliner of them all--the Ayatollah. If he opposed this deal do you think there would be any way it would have been agree to? Of course not. So it is not the opponents of this deal on the right that are aligned with the Hardliners in Iran as the president claimed. It is Obama who is aligned with the Hardliners in Iran. No one gifted anyone anything. The USA was just one player in this negotiation along with Russia, France, UK, China and Germany representing the EU. Oh, Iran was at the table too.

This is not an Obama deal, it is not a US deal, it is an International deal. Every country involved and every western democracy, save Israel, supports the deal. It is only with some people in the US, who cannot see past their partisanship, that this deal is considered bad.

The alternative to this deal is no deal.
Those countries that agreed to take an economic hit, to force Iran to the table to make a deal, will not agree to do it again. Not after they learn that even when a deal is agreed to the US cannot be trusted to uphold their end.

The US will be forced back to using their own sanctions to exert pressure. The ones in place since 1979.

Who knows, maybe they will work this time.

For all the sanctions that were imposed in Iran, that did not deter and worse thwart them to enrich uranium on an industrial level, to the point that Netanyahou was really considering going full Dr. Strangelove on Iran, in effect dragging the US into a new unwanted war! This is precisely the run up to the deal that puts an end to that, in effect reversing the trend, and in the end putting an leash on the Iranian nuclear program!

There is a very good reason this is not a good deal. We are approaching an election year. If the deal is a no-go and Iran begins to proliferate, the whole of the republican party will begin to beat the drum that Iran is "just months away from obtaining a nuclear bomb." And which party do you think they will blame? Several conservatives have used this issue in the past. Even Bibi told his people, while Israeli Intelligence disagreed, that Iran was a few months away from full proliferation.

Make no mistake who we are doing this for. The U.S., of course, but also Saudi Arabia. Iran is Shia and the Sauds are Sunni. The U.S. has been fighting there wars for years. There is no love like the love of Oil...

There is something fundamentaly flawed in your narrative: what you basically say is that with this deal Obama is offering the nuke to the mullahs, but on the contrary should he had refused to sign this deal, Iran would never have been able to go nuclear! What kind of nonsense is that?

Actually, the most difficult aspect of building a Nuke is obtaining enough fissile material to construct a " pit ", or the core of a fissile weapon or the trigger of a fusion weapon.

They're not as complex as you think they are.

Also North Korea's last detonation was recorded at + 7 kilotons in yield. If they can do it, anyone can.

Saudi Arabia could easily construct a fissile single stage weapon, and eventually construct a Fusion weapons ( Hydrogen Bomb ) given enough time and money.

All they need is to procur enough Lithium 6 and and enough fissile material and they could easily get into the megaton yield ranges of two stage thermal weapons.

Your continued desperate mitigations are a bit ridiculous and only expose your ignorance.

You are free to be naive enough to believe this deal will stop Iran from attaining a nuclear weapon, after all you were naive enough to believe that nukes couldn't be bought. This administration did the worst tactics imaginable in their negotiations and they ended with a very weak deal, acquiescing to Iran's demands at every turn. Their opening salvo was to relax some of the sanctions the international community had in place. They thought this was a show of good faith to start negotiations. It was stupid and a show of weakness.

All that I've heard about this deal is that it's unenforceable, has inspection loopholes and eventually allows Iran to enrich weapons grade uranium. Obama wanted this as part of his legacy and it will be, right next to Neville Chamberlin.

It's politics. Just as every republican states they back Israel and that Israel is the most important ally to the US, when the majority of them believe Jews are going to hell. It's politics. Most Republicans are pro life, but only with regard to fetuses. Once those babies pop out, they all hold up their hands and state "not my responsibility." Nothing is more important than life....unless, of course, they get shot. It's politics. All republicans state they believe in less government however every President since Eisenhower has expanded government....exponentially. It's politics. I have not heard the "turn Texas blue" but I will tell you that this is a tried and true tactic with campaigning. If you haven't been to a game of your favorite team in a while, nothing will get you out of your seat like the threat of your team losing. Go Team.

What kind of America will we live in when countries like NK and Iran have nuclear weapons? What kind of America will we live in after this President has stoked the flames of race wars? What kind of America will we have when we are flooded by decades of illegal immigrant unskilled workers leeching off our welfare systems?
