The top lawmakers on the House and Senate intelligence committee have been notified in recent days that the extent of classified information on Mrs. Clinton’s private email server was likely far more extensive than the four emails publicly acknowledged last week as containing some sensitive spy agency secrets.

A U.S. official directly familiar with the notification, who spoke only on the condition of anonymity, said the notification of possibly hundreds of additional emails with classified secrets came from the State Department Freedom of Information Act office to the Office of Inspector General for the Director of National Intelligence....

The U.S. official said the intelligence community has been informed that secret information had been contained in some of Mrs. Clinton’s private emails that originated from the FBI, the DNI and the CIA as well as a spy satellite agency. It is believed the 30,000 emails remain on a thumb drive in the possession of Mrs. Clinton’s private attorney, David Kendall....

Mr. Kendall represented former CIA Director David H. Petraeus last year when he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of mishandling national secrets because he gave some classified information to his mistress and biographer and stored a classified book of information in his home in an insecure manner....

The former secretary of state’s email woes deepened when a federal judge scolded the State Department for delays in releasing the documents, as the agency revealed that Mrs. Clinton’s closest aides and top officials during her tenure at the agency — Huma Abedin, Cheryl Mills and Jake Sullivan — also used private email accounts and all of their message have not been turned over to the State Department....

Wow.

If a former Director of the CIA can be brought to task for abuse of classified information, there is no reason why a former Secretary of State can't be.

Anyone who files charges against her probably won't be looking for a job in her administration, eh?

Q: If Clinton did send or receive classified information over her home email server, what are the implications for her — and for national security?

A: That is difficult to assess without knowing more about the sensitivity of the material. But there is a context to keep in mind. Critics say her private email server was almost certainly vulnerable to foreign intelligence services such as China's or Russia's. However, the State Department's unclassified email system is also believed to have been penetrated by Russian hackers. "It's conceivable that they were more secure on her home server than on the State Department server which would be ironic," Aftergood said. That would not be the case, though, if she had sent the material via the State Department's classified system, which is considered more secure.

There is also a history of senior government officials who have gotten in legal trouble for mishandling classified information, even when there was no evident damage to national security. The most recent was former CIA director David Petraeus, who pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor after admitting he gave diaries containing highly sensitive secrets to his biographer and girlfriend, Paula Broadwell, though she never published them. In 1996, CIA Director John Deutch resigned after it was discovered that he had stored highly classified documents on a home computer connected to the Internet.....snip~

lol

Oh it would be a funny one if this turned into her being charged with treason and tossed in the clinky dink.

Hillary and her Team are now worried about Biden jumping in. Mainly knowing BO will drop her like a hot potato and say: Im Ridin with Biden.

No treason here, I think - just criminal negligence, mishandling of classified information, etc.

Is telling. Morals or even Rule of Law are irrelevant for those still supporting Hillary. Power is all that is important.

10% of the emails the IG inspected contained classified information. If that percent holds consistent we are talking about THOUSANDS of classified documents mishandled. At the very least she should get the same misdemeanor conviction that Petraeus received, even though I think that is too light for either of them.

But she is the Democratic front-runner for President and the leader of the Democratic Party is currently POTUS. I would be shocked if she is held accountable.

Obviously this is the product of extremist women hating right wing sexist who, mad at the fact a black man is in office now, pretend to care about some minor emails that no one else cares about in hopes of destroying the hopes and dreams of millions of Americans with a fabricated scandal all in hopes of putting Jeb Bush in office to enrich more white people and starve women, children and MINORITIES!

I know right, you could half believe that would be the response to this somewhere, and they'd actually MEAN IT. That's really scary.

Seeing how every other pre-emptive "leak" of information from these hearings has ended up being a red herring, i'll go ahead and reserve judgement.

You may all continue on your partisan witch hunt.

There's only one party in American politics that has held its leaders to task for illegal activities and that's the Republican Party. As I've said previously, nothing will happen to Clinton unless leading Democrats come out demanding action, such as leading Republicans did during the Nixon years. They didn't do it with Bill Clinton, and I'm doubtful they'll do it now.

I don't think these hearings have been a Red Herring at all.

In fact, they've been highly productive in revealing to millions of Americans just how dishonest and underhanded Hilary Clinton is.

So, check this out. Court order from Judge Emmet Sullivan to the State Department:
In addition, as related to Judicial Watch’s FOIA requests in this case, the Government is HEREBY ORDERED to:

(1) identify any and all servers, accounts, hard drives, or other devices currently in the possession or control of the State Department or otherwise that may contain responsive information;
(2) request that the above named individuals confirm, under penalty of perjury, that they have produced all responsive information that was or is in their possession as a result of their employment at the State Department. If all such information has not yet been produced, the Government shall request the above named individuals produce the information forthwith; and
(3) request that the above named individuals describe, under penalty of perjury, the extent to which Ms. Abedin and Ms. Mills used Mrs. Clinton’s email server to conduct official government business.

The Government shall inform the Court of the status of its compliance with this Order no later than August 7, 2015, including any response received from Mrs. Clinton, Ms. Abedin and Ms. Mills. Signed by Judge Emmet G. Sullivan on July 31, 2015.”

August 7th is this Friday.

She might have to make a statement under oath that she violated document security regulations. Self incrimination. She hasn't said anything under oath at this point.

If they actually get a statement form ANY of the above persons they could have enough evidence to prosecute. Hillary might have to plead the 5th to avoid incriminating herself. She DID NOT turn in all of her documents related to her duties as Secretary of State. There are 5 emails that Blumenthal turned in that Hillary didn't have in her release.

Heya NBD. :2wave: Good news indeed.....then Gowdy can have them come in for deposition. Both Abedin and Mills. They both were using the server they both had emails accounts. Eventually they will figure out just how the Russians and Chinese got into the State Dept. These 3 will be prime suspects.

I bet his intention was always to call them in. There are issues that might put Abedin in deep legally, such as government theft of 10,000, just to start. It would be nice to use that as leverage against her to roll over on Hillary.

The AP put in FOIA's for all correspondence, all phone call records, and documentation with Morsi's wife, Clinton and Abedin.
