Iran Opens Campaign to Lay Blame on U.S. if Nuclear Talks Fail [W:96]

Re: Iran Opens Campaign to Lay Blame on U.S. if Nuclear Talks Fail

Ok, leaving Israel out of this then. Besides the fact that I have zero concerns that a nuclear weapons powered Iran would be a threat to me. Very educated senior fellows at the Council on Foreign Relations have argued the merits of a nuclear powered Iran on the basis of the stability it would bring to the region. Pakistan is a far less stabile nation than Iran, and they seem to be maintaining control of their nukes.
I agree with the stability of Pakistan, especially after the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdul_Qadeer_Khan network and it's selling of nuclear technologies to all kinds of buyers with the money, most of which were the unsavory type, however, they have their nuclear weapons, and there's no removing them. Multiple administrations from both parties haven't bomb, bomb, bombed them, so your chant has a bit less traction and credibility, I'm thinking.
Saddam was NOT a threat to the United States was the point. "Do we have to wait for the smoking gun to come in the form of a mushroom cloud over a US city" was the bull**** fear mongering advanced to scare an American population into supporting a completely gratuitous war that the Rand Corporation has defined as Bush's "blunder" and the 16 intelligence agencies pointed out caused an increase in global terrorism and made America LESS SAFE!!!! So stop defending the indefensible.
Then you can lump both sides of the congressional political isle that voted for Iraqi military action not once, but twice.
Otherwise, Obama will be gone soon, and hawkish as the old goat is, whether we get Hillary or John Ellis, you'll still have the opportunity to bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran!!!

Indubitably!! And I do and have the entire time I've posted at DP. In fact, I'm surprised if that's escaped you.

To be honest, I'm not keeping track of you that closely, nor anyone else for that matter, as opinions / positions change over time (or should) with new information and insight.

I don't expect you to keep track of me. I would expect that numerous as it's been, you'd have seen my criticism of the Democratic Party and Obama, particularly with regards to FP. To clarify for you here now, both party's were wrong to support Bush's gratuitous war with Iraq. You might excuse the republicans (though I don't) on the merits of partisanship. But the Democratic Party, oh no, they have no excuse. And I totally dismiss the, stated by some democrats subsequently, notion that we should cut them slack due to the political atmosphere at the time and the way they were beat over the head by republicans for being isolationists, anti-American and traitorous for expressing any opposition. Yes republicans did that to them, but for me, it was NO EXCUSE!!!!
