And what we have learned is how petty and ignorant some are of the former President, of his true sense of ownership for the fate of the troops he sent into battle and the years he has spent and continues to spend working with and for them. You simply have to hear and read what those very troops have to say about the man.
I don't know the answer about what President and Mrs. Bush did with the collective $150,000 they received from their support of the event outlined in the OP, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if the money went directly to the support of veterans in the direct work he does for them. Perhaps in coming days we'll hear something about that but knowing how President Bush has conducted himself since leaving office, I doubt very much he will be out in front of the cameras trying to counter this story - he just doesn't care what the media thinks or does.
but his brother can and should be concerned what the media reports
dubya's money grubbing behavior, at the expense of troops injured in dubya's wars, is unconscionable
jeb needs to distance himself from that. fail to do so, and his candidacy is toast
