If he does that, will you vote for him?

This has to be one of the oddest threads I've seen on here.
it comes on the heel of jeb - never a working man - telling us we need to work more hours and more productively to climb out of the rut his brother created

now, let's see if jeb will distance himself from his brother's very unconscionable money grabbing actions at the expense of troops injured in dubya's wars of choice

Oh now you want to talk about the principle of the topic, instead of the silly hackish partisan comparison to Hillary you attempted before?

If the story is as reported, it's definitely not cool for Bush to charge the charity.

not going to help jeb's presidential effort
of course jeb is not helping himself, insisting we need to work longer hours

and a look at jeb's current campaign:

Why would it have anything to do with Jeb's presidential bid?

Why does Jeb need to distance himself from his brother's speaking engagements again?

And what does how many hours we need to work have to do with his brother's speaking engagements again?

jeb needs to criticize his brother's money grab at the injured soldiers' expense
otherwise, we voters would find that he condoned such unpatriotic behavior

Re: To Help US Veterans Charity, George W. Bush Charged $100,000

I think it's kind of tacky for anyone to accept payment for speaking or performing at a charity event. Most people who are asked to do so for their name or whatnot are wealthy enough to afford a coach plane ticket (God forbid) and a night at a motel 6 (oh hell no) so it should be more about how they can donate their time to the charity and even give something out of their pocket to do so. But yeah right you know. That's just my opinion and just know when I become an ex president or an international superstar rapper you can count on me to do your charity for free. But I'm not everyone and if people pay what these people are charging then I guess it works out for them.

And what we have learned is how petty and ignorant some are of the former President, of his true sense of ownership for the fate of the troops he sent into battle and the years he has spent and continues to spend working with and for them. You simply have to hear and read what those very troops have to say about the man.

I don't know the answer about what President and Mrs. Bush did with the collective $150,000 they received from their support of the event outlined in the OP, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if the money went directly to the support of veterans in the direct work he does for them. Perhaps in coming days we'll hear something about that but knowing how President Bush has conducted himself since leaving office, I doubt very much he will be out in front of the cameras trying to counter this story - he just doesn't care what the media thinks or does.

Jeb doesn't need to criticize his brother's speaking engagements. His brother is an adult and is free to make his own choices.
