    The Bush's made 100,000 investment?

I get that. And it is ****ed up. Like I said, I don't begrudge the man making six figures for speaking or for raising money for charities. But this is a charity for wounded veterans of wars he started. It is NOT ok for him to profit off of that. Donating his time to veterans organizations for free is the LEAST he could do for them.
Maybe he turned around and gave that fee to the charity, in which case I would take back my criticism.

no, let's assign some personal responsibility for repugnant action

the very president who needlessly sent these veterans into war that maimed them is now charging to speak at a fundraiser on their behalf

who the hell is cold enough to do that

I can't stand Jeb. He is like Golum to me. I still have to say your argument is really weak and lame. It doesn't deserve anymore thought than has gone into this post. Out here.

clearly, jeb's brother, the former president responsible for getting us involved in unnecessary wars that caused the injury to many of our nation's soldiers, found it acceptable to charge $100,000 to speak at an event intended to fundraise for those purple heart recipients

Well, I guess your correct. It's a story to those who need it to be. To the majority, it's a non-story.

In all seriousness, getting invited to speak at a charity event should never result in getting paid any more than traveling expenses.
Well, I guess that is one opinion. I think there are many angles to such fees and expenses that people may not be aware of. Your comment about a certain former President is a good example. We only know the one side the "journalists" at ABC wanted to report.

It's important to have villain to distract from the real issues of the day. Consider the illusionist who is expert at distraction with one hand, while picking your pocket with the other.

so, you think it was an appropriate action for dubya to charge for helping the veterans injured in his wars

Re: To Help US Veterans Charity, George W. Bush Charged $100,000

Anyone who would criticize President Bush in this manner hasn't a clue about the man or what he and the Bush Institute does and has done to support wounded and other veterans since he left office.
