It would appear that the party of Lincoln wants to white wash the history and portray it as less horrific than it was. Nobody wants to do away with the confederate war flag either. It must be kept, in a museum where it belongs, as a reminder of how ugly humanity can be, and hopefully a deterrent for the future. But you want to keep it proudly displayed in prominence. This makes no sense whatsoever, unless, along with the rest of the racist bigots, you are indeed proud of what that flag stood behind. And let's not forget that after a lengthy hiatus, that flag was ran back up the pole again 54 years ago to tell the pro civil rights crowd "**** you"
