    This is true.

One would hope that the military powers in the region would be so outraged by these atrocities, that they would be taking on ISIS at every turn.
This doesn't seem to be the case at this point.
So, I think our air support and advisors are enough.
If the people in the region don't care enough to fight these evildoers, why should we?
No matter how cynical I become toward politicians, it's never enough.

    Stay out of Syria.
Let Turkey and the Saudi's deal with Syria.
Yep, great strategy, letting them kill each other and take over areas in the region will definitely not affect this country at all. There is no way for them to get here and of course there are no home grown terrorists here either. Yep, that liberal ideology cost almost 3000 Americans their lives on 9/11

That was the attitude that led to 9/11, ignoring the problem won't make it go away

Stay, train the Army, leave and they run away.
Yeah, lets do that again and throw in Billions more.
Add in Bush- Iraq is now run by Iran.
What a dumb ffn move to invade.
Same with AStan - The Govt is now arming local militias. Back to warlords time again.
If my post offends you, I deeply Apple-O-Jize.

Liberal ideology- AQ was attacking the US in Africa to the ME.
But you thought an ocean would protect you?
You preach fear and have soldiers all over the world, for what?
It is a multi generational war.
My Grandchildren will see this war is ongoing when they are middle aged.

    We're not ignoring the problem.
We're doing what we're good at.
The notion that only US troops are capable of being "boots on the ground" in the ME is incorrect.
If the good citizens in the ME allow ISIS to slaughter their children at will, then they're not worth one drop of US blood.

Yes, and the reaction of this country to those attacks led to 9/11. The Presidential Daily Briefing of December 1998 laid it out and basically was ignored so history is repeating itself.

great, that will never happen in this country just like fanatics would never fly planes into the WTC

And in the case of ISIS, this has never been more true. They want US forces to come fight them in their land because that will prove in their minds and all that the gullible masses that follow them that their ideological beliefs are right. And I don't think we really want that, do you?
ISIS has told you, and others, that they want to trick the democracies into invading and killing them so they can prove a religious point?

Maybe we should just fall into their psychological trap and fill the desert with Islamist body parts.
