It's a free country... on the Republican side, anyway.

Bush had a bubble economy, it came crashing down; the month Obama was ignaugerated the economy lost 800K jobs.

First non-white president: Really? Completely irrelevant when considering legacy.

Gave people lots of health care / ACA (combined): If it doesn't crash and burn under it's own weight, it'll be remembered well. If it does crash and burn, then no. It'll take at least 10 years for this one to shake out before we can know.

Shifted thought to the left: Presuming that is good, how did HE do that?

Gay marriage: Again, how did HE do that? It just happened on his watch. He does get kudos for ending DADT, though.

Out of Iraq/Afghanistan: Are we, really? Plus, did he leave too soon? How's that working out? Seems more of a mess than before, especially Iraq. Not something to brag about, unless half-truths and lying-by-omission are the strategy here.

Unemployment down: Government has less influence in this than we like to think. Much of it is part of the upswing of the natural cycle, but sure, the sitting president gets the credit when it goes well and the blame when it goes downhill... regardless whether they actually earned said credit or blame.

He's been a caretaker president more than anything else.

If it crashes and burns and has to be taken apart then he will basically be remembered for being the first black president, and that's about it.

The record period of private sector job growth occurred under Obama's tenure despite all of the allegations of how his economic policies, including the litany you include here, would supposedly destroy the private sector. In fact, the primary reason that the unemployment rate has not dropped lower is because of the shrinkage found in Government positions. For many of the months of recovery, the private sector grew at a rate which offset the loses to the public sector. There have been 63 months of private sector job growth.

And for dropping the legal defense to the Defense of Marriage Act and for filing multiple amicus briefs in support of expanding gay rights/marriage.

He gave people health care. How did he do that? Was he playing doctor?

He used his political clout, charisma and savior faire to win over certain elements to make the ACA politically feasible.

He'll say or do something that will cause it to crash again. I guarantee it.
