No, I understand the concept of neighbor helping neighbor not a federal bureaucracy being that neighbor, now answer the questions?

MrT;1064772940]Economic: Ending the Great Recession, reducing the unemployment rate below when he took office, and sitting in charge of the longest continuous private sector job growth in US history.
Really? The Great Recession as you call it ended in June 2009 so if it was so great what Obama economic policies did that? As for unemployment rate that has been beaten to death but the actual results don't really matter because he took a employment number of 142 million when he took office and took it to 139 million two years later and after the 842 billion stimulus was implemented. Wow, you really have been indoctrinated

Foreign: Ending two wars, re-establishing diplomatic relations with Cuba, establishing climate change agreements with China, and (hopefully) establishing a meaningful nuclear de-armament agreement with Iran.
Actually so the Status of Forces Agreement in November 2008 had nothing to do with it. Seems Bush won the war and Obama lost the peace

And let me just go ahead and preempt folks from pointing out their instances of Obama's failures - I get it, you have a justification for not liking him. I am just trying to explain some economic and foreign achievements that warrant support for Obama's job approval as per Conservative's request.
That is a liberal fall back tactic claiming that I don't like the guy. How do you know what I like or don't like. I don't like his incompetence and sure wish people like you would stop buying the liberal rhetoric and actually do some research.

My point was that it's silly nitpicking over what someone presided over vs. what they did personally. I'm not getting into this pissing contest, I'm just here to comment on how history will generally remember the past presidents of my lifetime. And generally, it's looking as though Obama is doing alright. He didn't defeat terrorism or defend the earth from an alien invasion, but he's fine.

Wish I could, but I have no such excuse. I brought the speeches and false promises and was ready for the hope and change after Bush's second term. Didn't help I had no one to vote for on the republican side. McCain is a long time old school crooked politician.

Unemployment rate is currently at 5.5%
The labor force participation rate is at 62.9%
So, if the people aren't unemployed, and they aren't working, where did they go?

Everyone is entitled to at least one really stupid mistake in his life. That was yours.

yeah, McCain is not my favorite. He was better than the alternative but that wasn't saying much. That's how badly I viewed Obama as a candidate. I wish Joe Manchin had opposed McCain. I would have voted for him.

But you apparently are clueless about FDR and how he fundamentally changed the nation over 70 years ago. Neighbor helping neighbor is fine but FDR saw it was clearly insufficient. Obama has put us back on the path and I don't think we will be straying from it for a while. I thank GW Bush for that favor. It turns out he was not a total failure.
