I agree and they live in your area or other specific areas and thus are the responsibility of those communities. How many trillions of Federal taxpayer dollars have gone to eradicate poverty and we have more people dependent today on the Federal Taxpayers than ever before. What I see are people like you pawning off your local problems to the Federal taxpayers. Social problems are state and local, not federal and you are the reason we have a Federal Govt. that is approaching 3.9 trillion dollars
You might want to sharpen up on your knowledge of Liberal v. conservative and Democratic v Republican, with particular emphasis on how parties have redefined themselves over the years.

For four decades I worked and paid taxes. I am sure some of that money helped others; I don't regret it one bit. I am also a lot of that money was spent on things I don't agree with; I don't bitch about it now.
