I'm not sure I'd use the word "lucky". Something tells me he won't be living on the honor floor anymore.

An amazing thing about this capture is it seems to have come about by his partner taking a shot at, and hitting, a van driven by a civilian citizen.

After three weeks of successfully being on the run, WTH was with breaking cover in that manner?

I suspect by now these guys were pretty fatigued and perhaps getting sloppy at best, and delirious & delusional at worst.

I seem to recall a bottle of whiskey was consumed at the cabin where the shot was fired - it would be pretty ironic if this thing all came to an end due to a drunken moment! (after many months of planning & effort)

Meh, that doesn't seem to matter. We already knew the ending to Apollo 13, Captain Phillips, Lone Survivor and American Sniper, but all of those films still did well.
