It did when I replied to HorseLoverGirl. You decided to involve yourself with that conversation, and then make accusations - not a smart move actually.

Now you want to start talking about Roof - which I have no interest in doing.

Next time if you want to butt into a discussion, don't accuse others of bringing up erroneous subjects when they actually didn't.
I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

Your grand pappy warned you that that racist symbol would be removed?

Yes he had that premonition that the symbols of our heritage would come under attack. But my fellow Southerners are doing him proud! I have never seen more Confederate flags flying in my neck of the woods in my life!

Well now, I always though that removing symbols of oppression would be a positive thing. Seems I misunderstood the old man. I guess for all the perceived progress in regards to racism, it's alive and well.

It also makes very clear those who do not deserve help when their government fails them. Resources are always limited, there is no point in using them to save the weak. If Obama and his minions are able to instigate the race war they want, liberal area such as larger cities should be allowed to fall. Those who don't know any better will be trapped in them and die. Those who survive the first few weeks and try to get out will likely be killed by those not willing to be robbed. Like it or not, those who have a plan and are willing to live by it will be the victors. Those who depend on government will be disappointed. And by disappointed I mean dead. It is ironic that those who depend on government to take rights away from others will be the most helpless whe it collapses under it's own weight.

Nobody said that. It will be in the museum right beside the equally racist and oppressive nazi flag. Such history should never be erased, but kept in a proper setting, so as not to repeat such nastiness.

It doesn't matter what thought process or motivation is behind the ambition to display the confederate war flag. African Americans were torn from their lives, shipped to America and forced to labor without compensation, and when they see that flag, it's a reminder of the sufferings of their ancestors oppression, it's hurtful, it's offensive and it's painful for black Americans. Out of consideration for that alone, that piece of **** should be pulled down!!!!!

Except the Confederates were the polar opposite of the Nazis. Complete polar opposite. General Lee even freed his slaves before the war began, as did Grant, well freed his one guy anyway. His wife sure as heck didn't. She kept hers because "good help was just too hard to find" as she is quoted as saying.
