I think it's sad that it took this long, and so far they only got one of them. What's even sadder is that convicted murderers were given a prison experience only seen in movies like Goodfellas, where they're allowed to cook their own food and live a relaxed lifestyle.
My bet is he will surrender. He knows if he doesn't and tries any kind of shootout with the police they will light him up like the Fourth of July.
No guarantee that he won't be shot while surrendering.
I'm thinking this was probably an all or nothing attempt for the escapees. I really doubt surrendering peacefully and going back to prison was their plan if/when caught.
Considering how brutally he executed a police officer I think you may be right.
