and this man is a legend, amazing.
Taking nothing away from this fine man but other men have done the same in these situations, several paying with their lives. It may have fallen out of fashion in some areas but, generally, that's what men do.

It is the non-men who get their power from shooting unarmed men or helpless women and children. These are the worst of God's creature and deserve to rot in Hell

Tunisian locals formed a human chain shield around one main hotel, refusing him entry, saving dozens of tourists' lives. Damn those unarmed Muslims!

News suggesting maybe 30 of the dead could be British. It's hard to establish identity from swimsuit wearers not carrying phones or ID. on their person.
Rumour has it they got his phone and found he sent a selfie to a Canadian number. Here's hoping Canada's finest are kicking that door down!

The US psyche here will conclude that if only the tourists had had their own personal assault weapons on the beach with them this might not have been so bad

And there is a flaw in their logic, yes?

My U.S. psyche says anyone who goes to a country like Tunisia now is nuts. The last thing I'd want to do on a vacation is see some guys on the beach holding AKs. I'd rather hit, say, the Caribbean instead.

The english psyche will roll on it's back and piss itself in submission begging to be spared.
If you build an army of 100 lions and their leader is a dog, in any fight, the lions will die like a dog. But if you build an army of 100 dogs and their leader is a lion, all dogs will fight like a lion.

The Brits don’t beg, we ask you politely and if that doesn’t work, watch out, because we’ll call the police. Come on admit it, that frightened you, didn’t it!
I’m sorry to say, you’re right.

So you agree with taking an assault weapon on holiday just in case ? The airlines might have some issues with that

I go on holiday to the US often and am three times more likely to be killed there than in Tunisia. Does that make me crazy for still going to the US or you crazy for living there ?

what does your fear of guns have to do with this thread? but you are right, disarmed victims tend to be killed much easier
