BOSTON — Two years after bombs in two backpacks transformed the Boston Marathon from a sunny rite of spring to a smoky battlefield with bodies dismembered, a federal jury on Friday condemned Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to death for his role in the 2013 attack.

In a sweeping rejection of the defense case, the jury found that death was the appropriate punishment for six of 17 capital counts — all six related to Mr. Tsarnaev’s planting of a pressure-cooker bomb on Boylston Street, which his lawyers never disputed. Mr. Tsarnaev, 21, stood stone-faced in court, his hands folded in front of him, as the verdict was read, his lawyers standing grimly at his side.

Sleep tight sucker, I say. May he make a fine wife in jail up until his worthless life is ended.

Still, we must remain vigilant more now than ever, the left is more concerned about its political adversaries than it is about fighting terror, and the house intelligence committee says we face a greater threat now than ever in our history.

Does it make any difference?

If you mean to say that any apologies are cold comfort to bereaved families, no.

But if he is genuinely remorseful, this is good for him. And maybe good for others who believe in the power of forgiveness and redemption.

I agree it will be good for him. But that IV potassium stopping his heart will be good for me.

I hope it hurts. A lot.

A well deserved sentence. Hopefully he will be kept in solitary until the needle takes his life.

I think certain acts are unforgivable.

He's not gonna be kept around anyone else. And this is not even close to being done.

What the ****? Those damn lefties!
But anyways! Be afraid! Be afraid! Fear! Fear! Fear! Be afraid :scared::scared:

You're all about the constitution and so called "conservative" ideals of that document until it comes to the 8th amendment? Am I right?

Yeah I'm with you on this one, you can and they did try to make the argument he was coerced into it by his older brother.

But at the end of the day he, and he alone had the power to stop his brother in that case and he failed to do so... and in doing so hurt a lot of families and the community in which he lived for no other reason than just being assholes.

Motivation is important and standing by ones brother is somewhat understandable unless... your brother asks you commit mass murder.

Honestly, let's make **** up shall we?

Good lord, your desperation and blatant hackery knows no bounds.

Hopefully another death row inmate gets a chance to pay his respects prison style. Hopefully it requires surgical repair.

And as for the terror threat, vigilance is not the same thing as fear. I bet you have locks on your doors, is it because you are afraid?

Hey he's going to be killed via a humane method. If the potassium burns or his IV infiltrates and it takes 20 minutes, so be it-its still better than he deserves.

Terror flourishes under Obama, and the threats are global warming and the confederate flag.

Tells you what you need to know.

To be fair-I'd be worried after last years mid terms as well if I was a democrat.

Not a fan of the appeals process and the court system?

And as for the terror threat, vigilance is not the same thing as fear.
Since the foreign intelligence committee says we "face a greater than now more than ever" I should what? Be "vigilant"? Are we in red code yet (if that little color code chart still existed)?

I bet you have locks on your doors, is it because you are afraid?
I better get more now, foreign intelligence committee says we are in grave danger.

Firstly, I do not support the death penalty, and am strongly against it.

Crazy as it sounds (and I'm Catholic - but not not highly religious), I do believe we are all God's children, and as such we do not have the given right to take the lives of each-other.

I do believe strongly in self-defense though, so I have no problem defending ourselves, those we love, or other innocents - by using lethal force if there's no other recourse. And by extension, I have no problem supporting a 'just war'. However, I do not believe that once we have removed a dangerous human being from society and safely locked them in a cage, that we have then the right to kill them after-the-fact - their's is no longer our life to take.

That being said, this case is heinous enough that it has caused me to reexamined my conviction, though I do not believe I will change it.

Of course you're not. He's had his day in court and found guilty by a jury of his peers, all of which conforms to "conservative" ideals (nice scare quotes, by the way) . He's going to die in accordance with the law. It's just my personal desire that he feels some small amount of the pain he inflicted on so many.

Maybe if you get a t-shirt with his picture on it you'll feel better.

Honestly this casual attitude towards rape is pretty disturbing.

Regardless of what he or anyone else has done I take a pretty dim view of that attitude.

We... in the civilized world do not sentence people to rape for their crimes because we are not some 3rd world dictatorship with no rule of law.

We've taken his freedom and eventually we will take his life for what he's done... but two wrongs don't make a right.

We. Don't. Sentence. People. To. Rape.

Im certain an appeal is coming, maybe even required. And I hope it comes to the same verdict and sentence. Not even he denies what he did.

We are code L-for leftist. Meaning a govt unable to address threats. Need an example? Rhymes with ISIS.

I respect people who stuggle with this. But I see evil and I know without a moments hesitation that it must be destroyed.

Same with the bowl-cut freak in Charleston. I was moved by the response from the Christians of that church, and others-but I want him swinging from a tree.

Ironic in light of your sig.

Not casual, in fact I see prison rape as a bad thing-which is why I wont mind a bit if it happens to him.

Just as I wont be upset when his heart is stopped-in fact maybe we should skip the sedatives before hand.

Terror flourishes under Obama,
Ahhh I see we still use this talking point? How do you measure this? What does it mean to have "terrorism flourishing"? Whats the measure?

and the threats are global warming
Climate change isnt a threat?

and the confederate flag.
Thats all on the state level bud.

Tells you what you need to know.
Yea.... "need to know"

To be fair-I'd be worried after last years mid terms as well if I was a democrat.
Why? Because its not your party?

Did you not agree with me that terror flourishes under Obama?

Climate change is a political wedge issue exploited by the left. The fact that our president told graduating military cadets its the biggest threat is case in point.

Last I hear ole cankles herself was cackling about the confederate flag today. Is she running for state office?

No, not because its not my party, because its losing horribly. :2wave:
