not that i care...i just like the looks of the flag..... and i think this whole bull**** flag narrative is absurd.

but in any event.. if you want to ban things that offend your delicate sensibilities.. feel free..... it's the modern liberal way , after all.
I'm not banning anything. Just voicing my opinion. You are acting like I have some kind of authority here that you don't.

in a perfect world, you'd be asking that question to the folks wanting to rid the world of a flag that makes them cry..... but , alas, this is the modern world.. pointing out how absurd the knee jerk reactions are is "overreacting"

not sure what y'all are going ot do when you find out racism still exists after the stars and bars disappears... but i'm sure you'll find something else to ban when the time comes.

Shows the confederate flags. Tennessee's battle flag apparently became the rectangular stars and bars that we see today. Virginia's battle flag was close. But never like what we see today was any of the actual confederate states' flags.

Personally, this is what I told my wife today about this, "These Republicans only just now jumping on the 'remove the confederate flag' kick are only doing this so that they can appear to be doing something about racism without actually having to do ANYTHING about racism."

I predict that the same thing will happen in other states in the near future and that all states will stop mandating display of the Confederate flag.

No one is going to stop anyone from personally displaying it, but the states will stop doing it.

    Wait and see.
State property, it can do what it wants.

Not everybody but half of the voters in the USA are dumber than the other half.

Yankees have been trying to erase Southern culture since the founding. If they had it their way, chicken and waffles would be the next thing to go.

Yeah, and tbh I'm not that knowledgeable on license plates (what a bizarre world it is when license plates become a political issue), partially because I've never opted for paying the extra money for a customized license plate. The concept of funding from customized license plates going towards a program with a similar "theme" as the customized license plate sounds like a nice idea I suppose. I've just always found the idea of expressing oneself through license plates odd; they kind of seem like government subsidized bumper stickers.
Social democrat is no longer an accurate description of my views.
