I've never seen this woman in my life, I've never even heard of her.... but to believe she passed for a black person is pretty damn scary. Are people in Washington state that damn blind? I mean, yes I get it: spray tan. But I took one look at this woman and recognized this wasn't even decent black face (there is such a thing as wearing make up in way that actually fools the audience: look up Cloud Atlas, if somebody hadn't told me it was Halle Berry playing that Asian man, I would have never noticed). Good grief, how were people fooled for so long? Did nobody bother to point out that this was a white woman?

Are these ****ing people serious or was everyone in Washington too damn stoned to notice?

In her heart, she's black. In my heart, I'm Rocko in Rocko's Modern Life. I won't say who Mr. Bighead is. I'm in enough trouble as it is.

That is a great show. It was from a time when Nickelodeon actually gave a **** about animation and production companies weren't looking for the next big hit that they could whore out to America's retarded masses under 12 (I'm looking at you, SpongeBob SquarePants!). Anyways, yeah - it's just absolutely insane that people went along with this for so long. I would love to know what her ex-husband's family thinks about the entire thing. I mean, it's not like she could compartmentalize this situation. Did nobody at the wedding realize that the brides' claimed black father was nowhere to be seen during the event? Were all the white people in the pictures supposed to be his relatives? It's just so bizarre.

Carol Channing is black by American standards.

I'd be concerned if it wasn't so damn funny. Of course, I don't know her. If I did and cared about her, I'd be trying to get her some help, although I have to admit I'm not sure what shape that help might come in. I have no idea how she looks in the mirror and determines that she's black. It's not unlike Mitch McConnell looking in the mirror and deciding he's a Power Ranger.

For a black person to pass as white, their history has to be erased. This includes all family ties. For them to be outed after they pass, would mean serious legal and social problems.

An aberration that doesn't really change much in the discussion. I don't know what type of community you grew up in but I can tell fake and real dreadlocks from a mile away. I can also tell when a person is superficially tanned vs when a person is simply darker. In my own immediate family for example, my daughter has a much lighter complexion than myself. Could she pass for a white kid? Sure, if we kept her indoors all day and you ask the right person. However, even then there are inklings that her racial background is not entirely white. This person, from a distance, sets off quite a few alarms for me the minute she says she's a black woman. It's not because I find it impossible, I'm just completely astounded that nobody thought to ask sooner: Are you actually a black black person? - I mean, even out of curiosity people ask these kids of things.

I've never asked another person if they're black or not. Never. Never ever.

To do so is an direct affront to the person you're addressing.
