Mitt Romney: Look at how much money Hillary Clinton is making!

She isn't earning those funds in the same way as other wealthy people. If she had any accomplishments to speak of, let her do it. Being the Lady in Waiting for her turn on the throne isn't something to have on your resume....

Big Money Predatory Capitalist son of governor lectures the 99% about the evils of Big Money Shameful Opportunist wife of former President. How about thinking members of the 99% tell both of them to kiss our butts?

I have my own reasons for not supporting Romney and for not supporting Hillary. I need no help from people who have no earthly clue what life is really like for 99% of us.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt was among the wealthiest people in America and sold a populist message because he had credibility.

Neither Romney nor Hillary can say the same.

Thanks for keeping Mitt in the forefront. He's a constant reminder to me about how bad Obama really is. I wish Mitt had won. And he's right, as usual. Hillary was pretending to her very gullible fans over the weekend that she understands the challenges the little people face, and she's all offended about how much money CEOs and (gasp) Hedge Fund managers make, and how 25 Hedge Fund managers make as much as all the Kindergarten teachers in the US, and where was she over the last few days before that? At the homes of Hedge Managers, fundraising.

No one is so gullible as those who are desperate to be deceived, because they see no other option.

Its almost as if he is going to take every negative ever said about him and show how it applies to Clinton.

One never knows when one might have to eat one's own words....

Lol, Romney lost. Get over it, guys.

No, America lost. Romney's doing all right.

You don't know how elections work. Get serious. I don't feel like engaging any of your silliness today.

I am thinking that the 1% you speak of is too small a group. Perhaps the top 20%?
My wife and I were near the bottom 50 years ago, now we are worth, together, about a million, and enjoy about $150K per year retirement income, but we remember the old days and try to give our kids and grandkids more opportunities.

But much of the current generation has no clue what it was like just 50 years ago....I see my own grandkids enjoying the kind of life my wife and I would like to have enjoyed, even help pay for it, but at the same time I hope they can look around and see that so many others are struggling to get by, and be willing to help those who are actually trying to be self sufficient.

America would have seen how the wealthy of the LDS faith approach problem solving. They find the talent, then ask them to use their skills to fix the problems, for NO PAY. Very few, if any, LDS get wealthy off their church service.
And service is the key word. Romney wasn't in it for the money, that's for sure.

Many of us worked our way up from humble beginnings, and I'd guess that a majority got an opportunity from someone who believed we could succeed and offered some help. I've now done the same thing myself, in small ways, and don't consider that unusual.

He's entitled to speak his opinion just like you and I are, and he really isn't wrong. Democrats pointed to Romney as mega-wealthy and out of touch as a reason not to vote for him, and Hillary is the same thing. So, why would they vote for her?

Mitt is pointing out a huge case of hypocrisy.
Which Republican doesn't represent part of the mega-wealthy? Rubio and that's pretty much it. Hillary and Mittens should both go back to wherever they came from so I never have to hear from them ever again.

Lol, Romney lost. Get over it, guys.

The Sore/Loserman crowd still whines about the 2000 election meaning the Romney supporters have 12 more years to complain:mrgreen:

Ugh, yeah but they complain cause Republicans had more dead folks voting. That's a pretty legitimate reason to complain. At least make Democrats fully aware that there is no limit on how many dead folks can vote :2razz:

Right, Hillary and Mitt are mega-wealthy. Yet, democrats hail Hillary, but condemned Mitt for being mega-wealthy and out of touch, just like Hillary is. See the hypocrisy?

I'd argue that Hillary is way more out of touch than Romney, because she never earned a penny based on her merits, just on her last name.

Seems to me pointing out the extreme hypocrisy of the left is fair and reasonable.

"Hypocrisy" -- I don't think that word means what you think it means.

So, if you're a politician who advocates higher taxes on high incomes and a stronger social safety net -- but you yourself earn enough from various sources that you will pay some of those higher taxes and are unlikely to rely on that stronger safety net. A remarkable number of people look at that combination of personal and political positions and cry "Hypocrisy!"

No, it isn't. Supporting policies that are to your personal financial disadvantage isn't hypocrisy, it's civic virtue.

I haven't heard anyone on the political left complain about a 1 percenter since they decided Hillary should be anointed POTUS.

So Romney is right about the blatant hypocrisy from the left, Hillary included.

People are always complaining about how much better things would be if the other guy had won. I honestly couldn't give less of a **** at this point. If you want your guy to win, get out, be an activist and get folks to vote. If your still don't win, then all you're doing is engaging in an exercise of mental masturbation about how much better things would if and only if, your loser had won. I'm speaking in an editorial manner, don't take it personally.

I just find the whole thing is like fantasizing about whether Schwarzenegger would have made a better Rambo or Stallone a better Terminator. It's silly in the long term and any claim made about that person's hypothesized performance is completely unprovable because we have no idea how that person would have reacted after being sworn in and dealing with the real world that comes after the promises and photo-ops.

I don't think anyone disagrees with this, at least I don't. That doesn't mean Mitt doesn't make a good point though. And I'm not a Romney fan in the least.
