Mitt Romney: Look at how much money Hillary Clinton is making!

You might say that, but let's look at the bottom, say, 10 states by average per capita income and who they went for in the last two elections.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_by_income

2008 election (using 2007 income data)
50. Mississippi -- McCain
49. West Virginia -- McCain
48. Arkansas -- McCain
47. Kentucky -- McCain
46. Alabama -- McCain
45. Oklahoma -- McCain
44. Idaho -- McCain
43. Tennessee -- McCain
42. Louisiana -- McCain
41. South Carolina -- McCain

2012 election (using 2010 income data)
50. Mississippi -- Romney
49. West Virginia -- Romney
48. Arkansas -- Romney
47. Kentucky -- Romney
46. Alabama -- Romney
45. Tennessee -- Romney
44. Louisiana -- Romney
43. New Mexico -- Obama
42. South Carolina -- Romney
41. Oklahoma -- Romney

Now, that's not ironclad, but that's pretty interesting that the states where people earn the least money have gone for the Republican -- you know, the one that people with low incomes wouldn't vote for because they're dependent on government and all that -- almost exclusively for the past two election cycles.

They are earning money aren't they? You sure that's the 47% Romney was talking about?

Mitt Romney was clear about who he was referring, the 47% that pay no federal income tax. He extrapolated that to mean people who don't work and therefore are moochers. The problem with that view is that those who don't pay federal income tax generally are the working poor. They just don't earn enough to be required to pay income taxes. If you have a problem that, go complain to Ronald Reagan, who thought that was proper.

So some of these people are Romney voters?

The children of candidates should not be a political issue but this was amusing. 'I tried to care about money but I couldn't', says Chelsea Clinton | Daily Mail Online

Yep, she makes more in a couple of years for doing nothing, than most people will make in their entire lifetime working their asses off. I guess it's easy to say that you don't care about money when it flows like water. It's like me saying I don't care about water, I'll just get more out of the faucet.

Romney would make a great president for the Salt Lake City Glee Club.
