Mitt Romney gives a brutal PowerPoint critique of Obama’s foreign policy

You lost it four years ago. Sour grapes! He knows how to make a PowerPoint presentation?

Mitt Romney gives a brutal PowerPoint critique of Obama’s foreign policy - The Washington Post

The problem with Obama's foreign policy is that it's easy to point out the mistakes because they involve nearly everything he touches. It's the election season and I have no idea what Romney's intentions are but I'm sure of this. He had the forethought to know what the issues were and he would have made a much better president than the one that got elected.

**** Romney, his old ass is still pissed he lost 4 years ago, very fortunately He will see the grave before he ever sits in the WH..

He was a failure as Gov of Massachusetts, probably couldn't run a taco stand in Tijuana, and he wanted to be President:lamo

Seems to me that the worst failings of the Obama administration foreign policy aren't much different from that of the previous administration. By encouraging the toppling of the strong-armed leaders of primitive societies, he has continued a pattern established by Bush, and what has been unleashed in the process is all as predictable as when Bush did so.

Tell us what he said that was incorrect about Obama?

Not run a taco stand? His work career has accomplished much that you aren't taking into account in your baseless invective.

Agreed. The point of the thread.

I will give you one thing. I didn't like Romneycare, just as I don't like Obamacare. One thing, among many, that you seem to have missed that really sticks out. Romney warned us that Russia was a major geopolitical threat. This is before they took Crimea, invaded the Ukraine, backed Iran, out maneuvered us in Syria and threatened NATO. Obama was and remains clueless. Hillary couldn't even get the reset button right.

It doesn't matter He lost remember..

He's an armchair Monday morning quarterback **** him..

Everything always looks easier from the outside..

If Obama wanted to demonstrate why people around the world should no longer rely on the USA for dependable security? Why, he has over achieved.

No longer?

It seems to me that train left the station a long time ago, long before anyone ever heard of Barack Obama.

The current POTUS looks more and more like my avatar.

Whether Romney could have done any better is one question we'll never be able to answer.

Since you like voting for losers why don't you petition him to run again in 16??

What did he accomplish as Gov, not a damn thing, oh yea Mass was 48th in job creation, good job huh?

Since when is it the USAs job to be the Worlds police??

I thought all of you right wing clowns were against Big Government and wasteful spending..

I care more about the economic conditions here, in the US **** Putin and **** Russia..

What's petitioning Romney to run again got to do with the topic under discussion? Oh, right. Nothing.

And the State legislature just stands by? Hardly. Again, an uninformed and baseless opinion.

The job creation rate is an example of Mass's liberal / progressive public policies as passed by its liberal / progressive state legislature and their inevitable results.

So we elect Governors for no reason at all, hmmmmm OK the state legislation runs everything, the Gov sits around all day and does NOTHING, OK I get it..

I guess what your telling me is Romney was elected Gov to take orders from the states Liberals, OK that makes a lot of sense..

One function of our government is to protect American interests abroad. We live in a global economy and we are interdependent on other nations. We have interests in the middle east since so much of the global economy depends on their crude oil. We have relationships, treaties and alliances with countries in the region. Like it or not we will maintain a presence there. The question is will there be counties left their to trade with after the spread of Islamofascism.

If you believe that the domestic economy isn't tied to the global economy I don't think anyone can possibly help you.

The above sounds to me a lot like the argument of whether all of the ills from Pandora's box actually come from Obama, or whether the Congress of the US may have something to do with economic malaise and foreign policy disasters as well.

I suppose some have to root for their team, and if the opposite team has the executive branch, you lay blame there. If the opposite team has the legislative branch, that's the problem.

It doesn't matter to liberal lemmings. To everyone else it does. Let me help you evaluate the president you voted for on his foreign policy.

1. The Rise of ISIS.

You know, the JV team.

2. Losing the War in Iraq

The war had been won until Obama took over.

3. Failing to Aid Iran’s Green Revolution.
Obama had no problem ousting heads of government in other regions of the ME but not Iran. Why, liberal fear?

4. Triggering a Nuclear Arms Race in the Middle East.

The result of a lack of forethought and insight.

5. Erasing the “Red Line” in Syria

More lack of forethought by backing down and showing weakness.

7. Libya Collapses and Becomes a Terrorist Safe Haven.

Deja Vu - Iraq all over gain

8. Russian Aggression in Crimea and Ukraine

President Obama, in describing his foreign policy doctrine in private conversations to reporters, said, “We don’t do stupid sh*t.” He actually does, quite a lot, and in ways that may be unmatched by any president in our history. Over the course of his presidency, Mr. Obama has implemented the policy he’s wanted. As a result, in several nations and in some regions, he has helped open the gates of hell.

Add to those the ME apology tour, Arab Spring and Yemen.

Mass. is the most liberal state in the union. Kind of hard to blame a republican governor for poor job creation in such a state. But how has job creation gone since he left? And if governors are responsible for job creation, why does Obama claim credit? And if Romney was so horrible, why did Obama and the left adopt his health care plan and take it national? Not that I ma a big fan of Romney, but the attacks on him in this thread are mindless.

OK then the big bad USA will continue to LOSE UNWINNABLE WARS, THAT DRAG ON FOR DECADES, and the deficit will climb Trillion's and Trillions higher, then I guess it doesn't matter if the President has a D or an R next to his name..

That scenario sounds really healthy for our domestic economy huh? Let's get deeper and deeper into debt, to engage Russia and the middle east?? OLE!!!

So I guess Iraq was all about the oil, just like I thought!!

On that we agree. Romney has shown an ability to work with people who have a different political philosophy, something that Obama has not done. It's really too bad we didn't elect Romney in '12, but then, there's no guarantee that he would have been able to make that much of a difference. The Congress, or state legislature, has a lot to do with the success or failure of the federal (or state) government.

And, there is a reason why the current Congress has a public approval rating just above that of ISIS.

Are you still in school?

Nobody said anything about unwindable wars. There are strategies, some sound, some not that would allow us to achieve our goals with the major current problem ISIS. They involve aiding the Kurds and also aiding Egypt and it's mounting problem with it's neighbor Libya. We are on a path to a nuclear Iran and an arms race with neighboring countries that could decimate the region.

Here's a thought for you. Your thoughts and Ideas about the Middle East are very shallow.
