    The OP's fears aren't based on a document. They are based on the future.

    No need to stop there. I can't think of single government function that works better than it did in, say, the 1950's when government actually tried to do the right thing.

    Here's the problem. While its undeniable that the Obama administration has brought us plenty of "government overreach", it's equally undeniable that the Bush administration delivered plenty as well. But just like the guy you're talking to excuses the Obama administration, you excused the Bush administration. Easy for him to point at Bush, and you to point at Obama, neither of you willing to hold your own party responsible, so we have every assurance that we'll see more in the next administration. This is what happens when you guys put your damn party before the country.

    Just wait when the ISPs, in order to comply with the government regulations, will have to waste their money, and hike the rates for getting even less for your money than before. Sure to happen.

    Yep. No business is going to take a loss to comply with government regulations. They'll be forced to hike their prices. It's the cost of government interference in the marketplace.

    Just remember, it's the same government that didn't notice the Chinese snooping and copying confidential personnel records for over a year that's now going to decide what's best for you and your ISP. Oh I can't wait for the squealing will start. Suddenly, that, what used to be free, Tweet is going to cost you something.
    Disinformation campaign? The Russian collusion meme pushed by the 'news' media, behaving as a political propaganda organ, hell bent to destroy a legitimately elected president to implement his agenda per the votes of the same electorate. Reference The Big Lie Reference Goebbels

    Oh gosh, what government regulations? You mean the standards which they were already following for the better part of the last 20 years? Good grief stop with this silly hyperbole.

    It seems Russian prostitutes are not the only leaking Donald Trump has witnessed. Sad!

    Yes indeed, those good ole Eisenhower days. When taxes on the top income bracket was +90% and look at these seven planks from the 1956 Republican Party platform. Sanders and Eisenhower would be the best of buds today!

    1. Provide federal assistance to low-income communities;

    2. Protect Social Security;

    3. Provide asylum for refugees;

    4. Extend minimum wage;

    5. Improve unemployment benefit system so it covers more people;

    6. Strengthen labor laws so workers can more easily join a union;

    7. Assure equal pay for equal work regardless of sex.

    What's in it for the ISPs?
    Why should the ISPs try to get more customers (and thus mo'money) now that there's "Net neutrality"?

    To be fair, the way the internet providers work, they essentially have regional monopolies in most areas of the country already. That was one of the primary reasons for the passage of Net Neutrality.

    Viral meme says 1956 Republican platform was pretty liberal | PolitiFact
    I wasn't talking about politics. I was saying that the government was more efficient and effective in those days. Sorry you missed the 50's. It was a golden age.
