Yep I may go caucus with dems this year just to support Bernie.

Urban liberals are destroying america, it's time to return to the orginal values of the progressive movement and I think Bernie well represents that

Odd that he is polling so low amongst democrats as compared to Hillary Clinton. Those Hillary fans must love her platform far more than they love Bernie's.

Except he wants to be the first nominee of the Democratic Party who is not, has not been, and never will be, a Democrat.

Okay. You're right. Math is wrong, and the need to pretend that a desired policy has no unintended consequences is right. Clearly Redress knows' Pew Research's job better than they do, because otherwise the world might be a complex place rather than a nice, clean, partisan one.

They drew out the causal link for you. It's bolded.

Seriously, Redress, that was the response-equivalent of "nuh-UH!!!".

He's always been a democrat. He just calls himself something else. He's always been understood as a democrat, always caucused with the democrats, his committee assignments have always counted against democrats, he's a democrat.

I like Bernie and I like a lot of his ideas.

I got 8 weeks paid maternity leave (I had a C-section so I got an extra 2 weeks) with my last one, the only one I had while working. My husband didn't get any time off for my births. I had 3 little ones under the age of 4 at home, one of them a newborn. I did fine. We did fine.

Unfortunately someone has to pay for all of these great idea Bernie has.

You may want him to be, but he is not. I can't find another prominent politician that didn't at least start out as a member of one of the parties. Bernie never has been a Democrat in any office he ran for or held. He uses the Democratic party as a tool but does not want to be part of them any more than he has to.

If he voted with the other party once in a while, I'd be comfortable saying he isn't a Democrat. He is. He's actually a Democrat on socialist steroids.

    okedoke Sure.

Since he's so independent, what issues does he vote with the Republican party on?
