Congress needs to be willing to do what it needs to do. Congress has single digit approval ratings for a reason. It is corrupt, incompetent and disinterested.

I am not a fan of one party governance but in the upcoming election I think it would be good for one party to have a couple years to fix what democrats have managed to break under Obama.
The federal government hasn't improved life one bit during my lifetime whether it has had one party in power or not. The only hope to slow down the destruction of our freedom and way of life is to slow down the growth and intrusiveness of government. The idea of having one party replace another in order to change the mismanagement is hysterical. It has happened over and over again in my lifetime and neither has improved.

Yes. The NRA's rating based on ?... hating lefty's I suppose.

I didn't try to hide it at all. I was simply posting that his actual voting record can appeal to gun owners to a degree. I wasn't implying in any way that he was an NRA poster boy. I just know that gun enthusiasts would outright dismiss him without even looking at any of his policies because he's a lefty so I put what, of his actual record, gun owners could relate to and might surprise them.
If you believe that the NRA gives their supporters an F, well, that's on you.

I agree with you in theory. The problem is that reality disagrees with us.

It is completely understandable why the dull, the lazy, the uninitiated hand-out crowd would be enticed to vote for a politician who promised to force their employer to give them a raise, or give them months of paid time off, or free health care, or who offers to give them some form of unearned benefit at the expense of their better off neighbors. Despite liberal claims of "progressive" ideology, it is indistinguishable from the Middle Ages cries of "Robbing Peter to pay Paul"

Bernie is smart enough to know that he has a better shot at the White House if he runs as a Democrat. He also has the balls to call himself a socialist. There are people, far too many, who will vote for their party regardless. The number of people who have left the two controlling parties has grown and is continuing to grow. Party affiliation means less to people than it has in the past.

Call Sanders a socialist - context would be helpful or call him a Democrat. Either way he certainly doesn't sound like establishment Democrat Hillary Clinton. I think that's a good thing. Sanders also doesn't sound like anyone in the gaggle of GOP candidates. I said this in another post, but I believe Sanders appeals to intellect more than other candidates. It seems people are responding positively to him as a result.

No, he doesn't appeal to the " intellect " at all.

His tired Socialist redistributist message is tailored for morons.

The same people that thinks its a wise decision to give the Government the authority to be the sole arbiter of what's " fair " and " equitable ".

The same people that believe increasing taxes on the wealthy fixes " disparity ".

The same people that think " Stimulus to increase aggregate demand " is how you grow economies.
