Thankfully cell phones are pretty prevalent. Also, there was a manual release.

Why not just move the lock from the locked position to the unlocked position? Didn't Chevy put that in the Corvette?
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

This is a scenario I am fearful of with my car. It is electric everything. I probably should put a hammer in my glove box at the very least.

I wonder if he had some minor dementia. My guess is he fell asleep waiting for some to come help and just never woke up.
