I disagree. Irregardless of opinion polling, the moment the seriously damaging obamacare mandates started hitting, Obama instantly became more unpopular then Bush ever was.

Now with Obama, there are 45 million Americans on food stamps.

Actually, you're wrong. The statement that GWB is more popular than BHO is objectively true. Now there's a good explanation why GWB is more popular, as you and others have pointed out, and it's fair to highlight that. But that doesn't make the comparison dishonest; it only makes it easy to explain and, really, not very important.

And, as always, it's Bush's fault.
They both share the blame, Obama more so.

Wrong. Bush's approval ratings sunk below 30 percent. Obama's have never approached 40, much less 30.

Bush now more popular than Obama - CNNPolitics.com
That is not the most accurate measure of presidential popularity. When a president leaves office this often gives people "away time" and people are more likely to forget his mistakes. Usually a president is most popular at the beginning of his term and years after the end of his term. He is most unpopular at the end of his term. The best comparison is to compare Obama and bush at the same point in their presidencies.

Right now 46% of people approve of Obama and 50% disapprove. At the same point in his presidency only 35% of people approved of Bush and 60% disapproved. So while Obama is controversial, Bush was downright unpopular.

You're wrong, its an apples and oranges comparison. Bush's is a popularity poll while President Obama's is his job approval.

As I said, it's easily explained. But the numbers are the numbers.

Well, if we actually do that, we get an entirely different picture.

Presidential Approval Ratings | Gallup Historical Statistics and Trends

In short, if these polls are anything to go by: In the eyes of Americans, Bush was next to Reagan in greatness, and Reagan was only slightly better than Nixon and GHWB was a better president than Reagan AND Truman. You can't make that sort of stuff up. If you'd like to compare presidential approval ratings, here you are:

Anyways, don't expect Grim17 to do anything but hide behind CNN's articles when it suits him. He's not really capable of engaging in any sort of debate that doesn't completely devolve into him just ranting about the evils of the left.
