The OP is clearly a liberal troll taking on a Colbert type character. No conservative would say things so inflammatory.

    Exactly.

Though I feel strongly to keep government the least size feasible, strong regulation is paramount in order to provide for personal freedoms.

I often point to Germany as an example to those who claim we can't have high wages, national healthcare, union protections, and a strong export economy.

There's no reason to not emulate them in their successes, while keeping our uniquely American identity & culture.

Unfortunately, there's a wide swath of our population that seems to think that the very idea of adopting what another nation does - no matter how sensible that something may be - borders on treason itself.

    Which is extremely short sighted.

Feeding hungry kids at school ends up eliminating parents? You don't have a slippery slope, you have a slippery water fall!

Well, it's easy to see that you have taken on the role of "victim" in this matter. That you can't see that it's really the kids who are the victims.

So how are these kids directly infringing on you by simply eating food that they might not get otherwise? How would a hungry kid come to understand that he or she is violating you by eating food? Maybe their tax accountants haven't shared the realities about the burdens that they place on the taxpayers by eating food at school?

Since when did kids become a part of the political majority? They are powerless to directly effect government. Kids and the indigent elderly represent the largest minority groups on the planet. The don't have the ability to directly influence government.

Kids don't have the ability to fend for themselves. The don't have the ability to know how to solicit for food from private or government institutions.

Dead beat parents, as you call them, can't be controlled by their children. In other words, kids can't force their parents to lobby for food on their behalf.

School teacher, administrators, ministers, church boards of trustees, and community leaders recognize these kids needs for a lot of things - including food. They are the impetus behind these programs.

Be aware that the numbers are growing...everyday. I'm an atheist, but in your case, I'll pray that you don't ever get to be Emperor of the Universe.

The only way for his rant to make sense is him being under the impression that school breakfast means parents are no longer allowed to feed their children breakfast.

Which is kindof like saying the National Weather Service eliminates the local news weather guy.

    I hear ya...

Well, this is one of the most trollish OP's around. It's another - the rapist did what he had to do because the woman's cleavage was showing - kind of post.

Hungry kids don't give a **** about taxes, governments, or the world's problems when their stomachs are empty.

The rant is a delusional, misguided, uninformed, selfish, and rancorous perspective.

Their welfare allotment is based on how many kids they have. Even welfare bums are given enough money to feed their kids. But they say no, give my kids free meals
