U.S. military pilots carrying out the air war against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria are voicing growing discontent over what they say are heavy-handed rules of engagement hindering them from striking targets.

They blame a bureaucracy that does not allow for quick decision-making. One Navy F-18 pilot who has flown missions against ISIS voiced his frustration to Fox News, saying: "There were times I had groups of ISIS fighters in my sights, but couldn't get clearance to engage.”

He added, “They probably killed innocent people and spread evil because of my inability to kill them. It was frustrating."

US military pilots complain hands tied in

Talk about frustrating. The chump in chief puts our forces in harms way and then wont let them kill the enemy. The "JV" team WANTS to die, and I want our military to oblige them.

Nothing substantive is going to happen until Obama is out of the whitehouse-that dog wont hunt.

If only there were fewer rules in place to prevent bombing civilians.

The Israeli's are in the process of ironing out those rules before we get to use them...

If only we had a president who didn't surrender to terrorists, and as if the salt in the wound-to put our military men and women at risk in doing so.

He can't even **** or get off the pot.

"Surrender to the terrorists."

Man, the rhetoric you guys get fed.

(looks at world on fire from terrorists)

So ISIS wouldn't exist if Obama hadn't "surrendered."

When did that happen, incidentally? Oh, wait, nevermind. January 2009, right?

They wouldn't exist as a defacto state, no.

It happened gradually over years, as Obama watched them expand and capture city after city. Years of denial by this POTUS got us here.
And now he wont even let our aircraft that HE's placing in harms way attack.

I love it.

Just a bunch of empty, completely unsupported nonsense fed by the right-wing propaganda.

That would be a start. If you want to stop ISIS instead of play Air Force you'll need to ramp up the collateral damage.

Its reality, and its happening all around you. If Obama isn't even going to fight ISIS, he shouldn't be risking our pilots lives flying overhead.

The pilots job is to fly his mission orders, not choose targets. Enough innocent people have been killed by US bombs, so if we're exercising more caution now, that's a good development. I'm sure for those complaining that if they're near the Islamic State troops, they're fair target too!

Nothing in the laws of war requires us to take extreme measures to avoid civilian casualties. Only reasonable care is required. An enemy does not gain a safe haven for himself by sheltering among civilians. Doing that is itself a war crime, and the enemy bears full responsibility for any civilians killed as a result.

Whose propaganda is your empty, completely unsupported nonsense fed by? The Daily Worker would have been my first guess, except that it's not around anymore.

Its a show, to appear to be doing something.

That's exactly what it is. B. Hussein Obama is a G--damned liar who resents this country and does not wish it well. The same is true of many of his acolytes--they are glad to serve as the jihadists' fifth column.

Once again, let me recommend a superb book by former federal prosecutor Andy McCarthy, "The Grand Jihad: How Islam and the Left Sabotage America."

What is YER purpose for using B. Hussein Obama?

There are three blatant irrational lies (BILs) in this one phrase.

The same is true of many of his acolytes--they are glad to serve as the jihadists' fifth column.

Who are Obama's acolytes and why would you accuse them of serving the jihadists' fifth column ?

Agreed, he's a weak president that allows terror to flourish, while endangering our military.
I hear another terrorist tried to strike in Boston today-likely the "JV" team.

I'll call him anything I damned well please. If you don't like his middle name, blame his parents for giving it to him.

Opinions that peeve you are now "lies?" What utter nonsense. No one has made you the final arbiter of the truth, except in your own fevered imagination.

Who are Obama's acolytes and why would you accuse them of serving the jihadists' fifth column ?

The answer to both those questions is clear to the millions of Americans who have been watching what they do.

I am more and more convinced, as I continue to watch what this sorry excuse for a president does, that it is worse than just weakness. I believe B. Hussein Obama feels contempt for America, for the white men who founded it, and for the Constitution they drafted. I believe he feels more in common with foreign Muslims than he does with the people of this country, and he places their interests above ours. He does not wish this country well--he wants to see it humbled before the world.

Anyone who has read about the 1942 Nazi saboteurs case, Ex Parte Quirin, knows how briskly and firmly this country used to dispose of enemy war criminals. And anyone who has read the records of the Far East Tribunals knows the U.S. Navy hanged 990 Japanese for war crimes. I could not disagree much more strongly with Franklin Roosevelt's statist domestic policies, but no one can fault him for failing to go after America's enemies--hammer and tongs. But then FDR was a man, and not a limpwristed imitation of one like the un-American person who is currently disgracing the White House.

At least ole Frankie could recognize existential threats. Our current left, products of the PAX AMERICANA, have small threat assessment centers.

As a result, threats thrive.
